"Pupil By Jono Dry"
"Contemporary South African artist Jono Dry is known for his unique photorealist-surrealist illustrations: large-scale, graphite on paper drawings that pose as state-of-the-art, greyscale photographs, each one injected with a hint of the surreal, for a fantastical aesthetic. For ‘Pupil’, a close up image of an eye captures shades of exquisite detail, from long, spindly, eyelashes, to soft wrinkles on the skin, and the iridescent patterns of the glassy iris. Reflected in the pupil, spot a tiny human figure, hanging as if frozen in the optic sphere. Breathtakingly beautiful, Dry’s skilled penmanship reproduces all the realism of a photograph, with the fantastical possibilities afforded by pure, imaginative art."

"Dapper Dan British Bulldog (A2) By Angel London"
"Angel London works initially with a digital plan which he then sublimates/ heat presses at high temperature, over a hand painted gesso base onto large 6mm medium density fibre wood (MDF) and is hand finished with charcoal, chalk and oil paint. This combination of mediums produces an earthy quality as the the mdf creates a true likeness to the tan colouring on the bulldog’s hair and contrasts beautifully with the white gesso primed underpainting and the steamed up monocle. This outfit was often associated with the upper classes in early 20th century Great Britain. Furthermore, together with the cigar this piece could be considered as a satirical depiction of Winston Churchill, one of the most influential men in British politics of that century. There are many Winston Churchill anthropomorphism style paintings out there that have set the bar, however this piece is so unique and so classically rendered, hence being sold before it reached the gallery for a private sale to a high profile New York lawyer."

"Enough Is Enough - Day By Jamie Reid"
"British artist Jamie Reid is known for his iconic work with the Sex Pistols in the 1970s. Remember the anarchic Queen with a safety pin through her nose? Reid. And the famous God Save the Queen album cover? Reid again, behind two of the twentieth century’s greatest visual icons. Today, his art continues to be fiercely politically engaged, radically subversive, and visually powerful. Think Peter Blake meets William Blake, in ‘Enough is Enough - Day’, Reid’s ecological war-cry to save our fair planet. Reid blends the vibrant collage aesthetics of Peter, with the mystic, Romantic overtones of William, for a truly compelling - not to mention politically rallying - work of contemporary art. Printed onto acid free, recycled card, Reid’s print hails the bright, environmentally conscious future of printmaking. Hear, hear!"

"Pachta By Robert Proch"
"Contemporary Polish artist Robert Proch combines state-of-the-art animation, Impressionism, and modern graffiti for a palpably twenty-first century style. His work responds to the bland futurism of the modern metropolis: freed from spatial limitations, Proch creates cubist-inspired urban landscapes which seem to shift and distort under the viewer’s gaze. ‘Pachta’ has the quality of a stilled animation: almost glitchy, with its block-painted form, the realist image assumes a haziness that borders on abstraction. A figure crouches in the yellow foreground; others can be just about picked out, moving in the background, as the very space around them seems to slip and modify. In spite of narrative ambiguity, Proch’s elusive characters are invested with a profound sense of human emotion: this is scenic painting for the twenty-first century."

"Lesson 1. Happiness By Bonnie and Clyde"
"Bonnie and Clyde has mastered the art of mixed media collage, blending photography with fine art until the lines of distinction disappear. Her brightly coloured brushstrokes - often depicting modernist architecture, expanses of sea, and palm-tree lined streets - are reminiscent of early Hockney, given an up-to-date twist with a bricolage technique, employed to unrivalled effect. Blending elements of the natural world with fragments of the urban, ‘Lesson 1. Happiness’ explores the balance of binaries that shape our everyday lives: black and white buildings, juxtaposed side by side; summer skies placed against thick cloud cover; the digital vs the tactile. Yet for all its fragmentation, Bonnie and Clyde’s print is perfectly balanced: a sumptuous harmony of chaos."

"We Share Our Chemistry With The Stars (KN200R) By Marc Quinn"
"Contemporary artist Marc Quinn is a leading name in twenty-first century British art. Famous for casting his head in frozen blood and for crowning Trafalgar Square’s Fourth Plinth with his sculpture of Alison Lapper, Quinn has been a rising star of the art world since the 1990s. With a penchant for humanity’s darker side and a tendency toward the existential, Quinn creates an art that thinks, always probing life’s bigger questions. ‘We Share Our Chemistry With the Stars (KN200)’ is a print from Quinn’s iris series, for which Quinn has employed the Duchampian readymade model, his found ‘object’ taking the form of the human eye. Quinn’s irises are breathtakingly beautiful: glassy shots of intense pigment coalesce to draw out the spectacular power of humanity. ‘We Share Our Chemistry With the Stars (KN200)’ depicts a blue iris, streaked with soft peach and snow white and punctured by an abyssal, black pupil, which contains, in the words of Quinn, “all of the mystery and uncertainty of life.”"
