"Loaded Longboard - Bhangra" |
"The Dancer is dead long live the Bhangra!PurposeWe wanted to create a more compact dancing/freestyle board that you could basically do everything on. A board that has plenty of room to get your dancing groove on and is smaller, lighter, and easier to throw around. Something that is not overly huge, can bust out steezy slides, and can be carried and fit into a trunk easier. Can you downhill on this board? Probably, but it is not a DH board.RockerWe are really stoked on the rocker in this board (the board has a slight U bend to it). The original prototype had camber and felt good, but we decided to put some rocker in it and bam a ram, it instantly felt so much better. The rocker just sinks you into the board and gives you that extra cushy, locked in feel. Feels great for dancing, makes sliding a lot easier and more comfortable, and puts the board lower to the ground, making pushing a tad bit easier.ConcaveHURRAY, we added concave! We added a mellow U concave to give you more confidence when sliding. The concave also helps lock your feet in when landing big spins and such. The concave is mellow and does not feel uncomfortable for footwork moves.Nose and Tail KicksMore nose and tail curvatures allow for easier catching of the nose and tail. If you get your timing down, yes you can ollie the Bhangra. Not easy, but it can be done. Both the nose and tail will lock your feet in nicely for manuals, but the different lengths result in distinct feelings of balance and pop. You may find riding the board in a certain direction better for some tricks; for example, the tail is really good for catching shuvits-to-manuals, while the nose feels better for hang ten manuals.Functional grip tape DesignThis is our most thought out grip design to date featuring a functional, shoe saving design and two different types of grip tape, oh yes. For the main standing platform, we used a mellower grip with a functional pattern to save your shoes. As you all know, when you do pivot motions on grip tape you slowly wear out the balls of your shoes; you are basically grinding away your soles on sandpaper. We cut out this grip design so that when you do your spinning moves, most of your shoe will move freely on the bamboo, not the grip tape. We also designed it so you still have plenty of grip tape on the rails of the board for confidence when sliding. We used a gnarlier, gripper grip tape on the nose and tail to help give you that extra locked in feeling when holding out steezy manualsfor the ladies and/or gentlemen.Plus the extra grip makes it easier to catch the nose and tail for quick shuvit-to-manual moves.ConstructionWe are stoked to say this is our most organic board to date. We have created a durable beast bound together with jello and spider tears. Actually, the board is constructed from bamboo, cork and epoxy bio-resin. We used no fiberglass in this board but were able to get the strength and flex characteristics we wanted by using two vertical cores of vert-lam bamboo with cork in the middle for weight reduction and dampening. The top of the board is a cross-ply of bamboo vert-lam to strengthen the board across the width and we use a similar ply in the center (next to the cork) to stiffen up the flex. Many of the boards have small holes in the nose and or tail. These are caused by grooves in the bottom core that allow the board to bend into a deeper concave. They will not affect the performance or durability of the board and are a great place to store soup.Epoxy Bio-ResinNot sure if you knew this, but resin plays a big part in how a board feels. We tried out a variety of resins, each having their own energy return properties and flex characteristics. For a board like this, we really dug a more mellow, damp feeling resin. Something that just kind of sinks nicely under your feet and does not have so much energy return that it wants to buck you off. We classify the flex as soft, damp, almost dead flex. In contrast a Dervish has a more lively, springy flex to it. So we found the perfect resin for this board and are even more stoked because it is a bio-resin and tastes good in cereal, hahaha.Wheel WellsWe designed functional wheel wells to accommodate several brands of 180mm trucks and 70mm wheels without risers. They will prevent wheelbite in most circumstances; however, you may encounter bite if you run super loose trucks with soft bushings.Phew and there it is - probably the most in-depth listing you will find anywhere on this site. But as they say...information is power, so use it wisely and get cruising!!Setup Recommendations:Trucks: We recommend 180mm reverse-kingpin trucks: Paris, Randal, Bears, etc.Wheels: This board is intended to ride with 70mm or smaller wheels. 75mm wheels are too big, and you willhave to use a bunch of risers to avoid the risk of getting wheel bite. Plus, 70mm is such a nice, lightweightsize to throw around, do tricks on, and slide.Adam Stokowski, Dane Webber and Adam Colton like this board set up with 86a Stimulus wheel for slidingand shuvit spin moves. The 86a is a good all round wheel for their style and provides extra leeway: whenlanding a shuvit wrong, the wheels will slide the extra bit around instead of gripping and bucking you off. Asofter wheel will be more comfortable for cruising long distances, cross-stepping, manuals and such.Length:48.5Width:9.5Wheelbase:32.75 (Inner hole)Prole:Mellow U ConcaveWeight:Deck:2.8 Kgs (Flex 1) and 2.5 Kgs (Flex 2)Complete:4.5 Kgs (Flex 1) and 4.2 Kgs (Flex 2)Environment Suitability:SteepsHillsParkingRound TownFlex OptionsFlex 1:Supports up to 150 lbs - 250+ lbs / 68 - 114kgsFlex 2:90-190 lbs / 40kg - 86kgTo complement your riding style Loaded is available in a number of set up options for the ultimatecustomised ride as well as decks which are graded for rider weight and performance.Premium 1 Set Up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Orangatang 4President or Stimulus and Jehu Abec 5Premium 2Set Up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Orangatang Fat Free and Jehu Abec 5Premium 3Set Up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Retro 70mm ZigZags** and Jehu Abec 5Premium 4Set Up:Paris 180s Black, Orangatang 4President or Stimulus and Jehu Abec 5Premium 5Set Up:Paris 180s Raw, Urban Blue 70/78a Whites and Code Abec 7Premium 6Set Up:Paris 180s Raw, Retro 70mm ZigZags** and Jehu Abec 5Premium 7Set Up:Gullwing Charger Trucks (180mm), Orangatang 4President or Stimulus & Jehu Abec 5Premium 8Set Up:Bear Grizzly 852s, Orangatang 4President or Stimulus & Jehu Abec 5Premium 9Set Up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Orangatang InHeat or Durian and Jehu Abec 5Premium 10Set Up:Paris 180s Black (180mm), Orangatang InHeat or Durian and Jehu Abec 5Please note:Orangatangs are available in Orange 80a, Purple 83a or Yellow 86a.ZigZags are currently available in Red (78a), Lime (80a), Lemon (83a) or Orange (86a)If wheel options are available, please email us after ordering with your wheel choice and order number.View Full Range Here"

"Loaded Longboard - Poke" |
"Continuing the legacy of the Fish and Ceviche, the Poke is the newest performance-driven stage of a pescatarian culinary tradition.Featuring highly functional kicktails and a comfortable platform with concave, rocker, and wheel well flares, this compact and versatile thrasher / city commuter will take you all over town hunting for driveways, banks and garages. The Poke is a performance bamboo composite longboard designed to carve and slash through the urban landscape.Joining a pond of playful performers, the Poke is the latest incarnation of the Fish and Ceviche, mellow-mannered cousin of the Kanthaka, and little sibling to the Fattail. Nimble, highly pumpable, and freestyle-friendly, this versatile city commuter keeps up with your every whim and makes each outing a creative, dynamic adventure. Vertically laminated bamboo and fiberglass construction provides a lightweight and snappy board with just the right amount of flex. The Rocker:0.1 of rocker in the Pokes standing platform complements the subtle flex of the board and allows you to sink into a comfortable hammock-like interface for both leisurely and aggressive riding. The rocker helps freestyle tricks feel more natural and also creates a solid platform for pushing and commuting.Wheel Well FlaresSlight concave flares on either end of the standing platform provide tactile reference for your feet, allow for increased width without wheelbite, and lock you in for quick maneuvers with a high level of board awareness. Additionally, these complex contours enhance the torsional stiffness of the deck and promote better stability and control.ConcaveThe Poke features 0.5 of radial concave for solid and quick transitions from rail to rail while pumping, carving, and slashing. Aggressive enough for spirited performance riding yet comfortable enough for the casual commute or boogie through town.KicktailsThe Poke sports an ample tail for assertive surf-style slashing and plenty of freestyle trickery. The kick angle has been designed to facilitate a snappy and functional pop.FlexSolid for stable carving, soft enough for comfort and crisp for pop, the Pokes bamboo and fiberglass construction is light and durable.Loaded recommend Paris 150's on your Poke which are complimented well by fitting 4Presidents for a grippy, pumpy set up, Stimulus for traction and drift or Fat Frees for weight reduction and trick-heavy freestyle riding. With this in mind the Poke is available in the following set up options for the ultimate customised ride: (please email us after ordering with your wheel choice and order number)Premium Setup 1:Paris 150s Raw, Orangatang 4President or Stimulus and Jehu Abec 5PremiumSetup2: Paris 150s Black, Orangatang 4President or Stimulus and Jehu Abec 5PremiumSetup3: Randal R-2 Trucks (150mm), Orangatang 4President or Stimulus and Jehu Abec 5PremiumSetup4: Randal R-2 Trucks (150mm), Orangatang Fat Free and Jehu Abec 5PremiumSetup5: Paris 150s Raw, Orangatang Fat Free and Jehu Abec 5PremiumSetup6: Paris 150s Raw, Urban Blue 70/78a Whites and Code Abec 7PremiumSetup7: Randal R-2 Trucks (150mm), Retro 70mm ZigZags and Jehu Abec 5PremiumSetup8: Paris 150s Raw, Retro 70mm ZigZags and Jehu Abec 5* Orangatangs are available in Orange 80a, Purple 83a or Yellow 86a. "Loaded Longboard - Fat Tail" |
"A little extra girth never hurt anyone. At least that was our approach when it came time to revamp the design of the Pintail. We wanted to modernize this classic concept so it could keep up with evolutions in riding and performance. The Fat tail was designed for pumping, carving, pedestrian slalom, freestyle and generally any situation where lively, energetic lines are on the menu. Increased concave locks your feet in against g-forces, while the topmounted and cambered platform provides energetic performance in and out of each carve. The width of the deck has been redistributed while maintaining subtle tapering near the trucks to provide both ample leverage and awareness of foot position while powering through turns. The formerly vestigial tail has received the silicone treatment for improved functionality in both freestyle tricks and surf-style shredding. The Fattail is also equipped with a slight nose kick for manuals and shuvits.Armed with more sophisticated modeling software and improved experiencein conceptualization and testing methods, we were able to fine tune theFat Tail's shape and contours to ensure more consistent characteristicsthroughout the entire length of the standing platform when using either wheelbase. We kept the camber ofthe original Pintail, increased the concave and added a nominal nose kick and a full (if chunky) kick tail.A vertically laminated bamboo core is sandwiched between fiberglass skins. The tail is reinforced with anadditional layer of fibreglass (top) and carbon fibre (bottom) for added stiffness and abrasion resistance. The bottom is finished with a bamboo veneer with a die cut water droplet pattern, which is filled withtransparent urethane and a floating graphic to give a sense of dimensionality.Specifications:Length: 38"" / 96.5cmWidth: 8.6"" / 22cmWheelbase (Inner Hole): 26.5-27.4"" / 67.3-69.6cmWeight (Deck Only): 3lbs / 1.4kgGraphicThe Fattail graphic is an extension of the artistic concept explored in the two graphics used on the Pintail. The first graphic was designed by Jamie Engelman in 2004 as a meditation on change and growth. It was re-imagined more abstractly by Jan Michael Bennett in 2006 when we switched the Pintail from oak to bamboo. The current graphic was designed by Nana Studio (based on drawings by Daisuke Okamoto) and references the previous designs while expanding on the underlying concepts.TrucksThe Fattail rides best on 150mm trucks - we recommend Paris, Tracker FasTracks, and Navigator Drone.WheelsRecommended wheel size is 70mm. "Loaded Longboard - Sama" |
"Things just got a whole lot better!InspirationWe launched the original Dervishin June of 2007. In 2006 we had shifted ourentire line to bamboo, which opened thedoors for us to create a exy drop-through board. All previous drop-throughs wed built as protos hadeventually fractured due to stress on the oak cores.Weve made subtle changes to the Dervish since then (cutoutand keyhole modications and graphics), but its now time tochange it up in a more signicant fashion. Weve learned a lotabout compound contouring in the last few years (as seen on theTan Tien) and felt it was time to step up and rethink the Dervish.Name & GraphicSama is the Su ceremony focusing on active meditation as a tool for the individualsspiritual journey. The origin of this practice is credited to Rumi, apoet and founder of the Mevlevi order of whirling dervishes.ThroughSama, the individual aims to ascend from the connes ofthought to attain heightened maturity, perfection, and closeness toGod. For this boards graphic we continue to explore the whirlingdervish theme, although this time in a more abstract form. The artwork wascreated by Diana Gracida of Nana Studios.WidthFor the width we explored many different width and shape options whileprototyping the Dervish Sama. We came to the realization that there isno right answer and that theres an inherent tension between stabilityand liveliness. Using sophisticated (for us) design software and curvaturecalculations, we extensively tested various different widths and subtle changesto the deck shape. We then collectively decided that this new 9 wide shape (theold Dervish was 8.5 with a different neck curvature) provided a satisfactory balance of comfort, edgecontrol, and responsiveness.ConcaveThe Dervish Sama also received a more pronounced concave pro le, which is further augmentedby the increased deck width. The result is improved edge feel for turn initiation and extra control whilesliding.Nose & Tail KicksTo keep up with the current calibre of freestyle riding, we gave the Dervish the mosttasteful of nosejobs. After testing several new shapes and sizes, we lengthened the tips for additionalleverage, widened the neck to increase durability and ensure a consistent ex pattern through the entiredeck, and added subtle kicks to increase pop and to lock your feet in. The kicks are reinforced with an extralayer of breglass for added stiffness and durability.grip tapeA six-piece symmetrical grip tape pattern was designed with performance and elegance in mind. The two sections at the kicks use an aggressive, rougher-grit grip to provide enhanced control and securityfor manuals and freestyle tricks. The four middle sections use a milder, ner-grit grip (comparable to streetskate grip) to facilitate dancing and footwork manoeuvres. The segmented design yields functional coveragewithout interfering with the boards ex pattern.CamberThe Dervish Samas versatility lends it to many disciplines, but at its heart lies a deeply rootedpassion for carving. The cambered platform and weight-tailored ex pattern work together synergistically toprovide a lively, owing ride. Press your weight into a turn to preload the decks curvature; unweight as younish the carve and feel the board snap back with positive energy return.FlexModications to the width, concave, and thickness of the deck also resulted in a new overall feel to the ride. The ex pattern remains very consistent throughout the entire length of the deck and is also much more damp, tight, and controllable. The Dervish Sama gave us an opportunity to re-examine our current ex options. We found that even on the softest ex Dervish ( ex 2), it was difcult for riders weighing less than 140 lbs to generate enough force to fully engage the decks ex during normal riding. The introduction of a third, even softer ex allows lighter riders to more easily play with the cambered standing platform as they pump and carve, achieving a much more lively and comfortable riding experience. A softer ex rating will give you more control and tighter turns at slower speeds and make it easier to slide, but tends to lose stability at higher speeds. A stiffer ex provides more energy potential, is more stable at higher speeds, and holds up better to hard landings, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising.ConstructionA vertically laminated bamboo core is sandwiched between layers of triaxial breglass anda bamboo bottom veneer. The deck is pressed with concave and cambered curvatures to create a lively, responsive ride with high energy return. Localized breglass reinforcement at the nose and tail kicks(spanning neck to tip) ensures strength under hard riding.Design Process & OverviewOur design team faced a unique challenge: the Dervish is a board that we continue to enjoy riding and encourage others to share in this experience, so how do we enhance thefeatures of the original board and at the same time increase its versatility? After brainstorming ex patterns, durability, construction and most importantly performance, we arrived at a multifaceted goal: to enhance edge control, lively response and carving; to increase trick potential (with the added benet of durability), to increase concave with subtle adjustments to the camber, and to make the board more accessible by expanding our ex ranges. The Dervish Sama, through intensive back-and-forth within digital environmentsand physical prototyping, serves up a platter of carving and freeride goodness. Were stoked on the continuing renement of our design processes and how what weve learned from the development of the Dervish Sama in particular (regarding methods of communication, prototyping, and testing procedures) will impact our ability to continue exploring the boundaries of skateboard design. More importantly, were stoked on this board and excited to share it with all those who are gonna enjoy it.Set UpsWe recommend 180mm or 10 trucks (Paris, Bear, Gullwing Charger, Navigator, etc.) for the Dervish Sama. This board is designed to accommodate 75mm wheels without wheelbite. A wider race style wheel is ideal for maintaining roll speed and traction through hard carves, while a 70-75mm freeride wheel will provide a well rounded balance of grip and drift for a more slide-friendly riding style. Riders leaning towards freestyle and aggressive freeriding may prefer a lighter and/or smaller wheel in the 70mm+ range.Environment SuitabilitySteepsHillsParkingRound TownBanks & Big BowlsFlex OptionsFlex 3: 75 - 150 lbs (35 to 68 Kgs)Flex 2: 100 - 185 lbs (45 to 84 Kgs)Flex 1: 170 - 250 lbs (75 to 114 Kgs)Set-up OptionsTo complement your riding style Loaded is available in a number of set up options for the ultimate customised ride as well as decks which are graded for rider weight and performance.Premium 1 Set Up:Gullwing Charger Trucks (180mm), Retro 75mm BigZigs** and Jehu Abec 5Premium 2 Set Up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Retro 75mm BigZigs** and Jehu Abec 5Premium 3 Set Up:Paris 180s Raw, Abec11 Gumballs 76/78a and Jehu Abec 5Premium 4 Set Up:Paris 180s Raw, Urban Blue 70/78a Whites and Code Abec 7Premium 5 Set up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Orangatang 4President or Stimulus and Jehu Abec 5Premium 6 Set Up:Randal R-2 Trucks (180mm), Orangatang InHeat or Durian and Jehu Abec 5Premium 7 Set Up:Gullwing Charger Trucks (180mm), Orangatang 4President or Stimulus & Jehu Abec 5Premium 8 Set Up:Gullwing Charger Trucks (180mm), Orangatang InHeat or Durian and Jehu Abec 5Premium 9 Set Up:Bear Grizzly 852s, Orangatang InHeat or Durian and Jehu Abec 5 (w/o Die Cut Pads)Premium 10 Set Up:Paris 180s Black (180mm), Orangatang InHeat or Durian and Jehu Abec 5Please note:Orangatangs are available in Orange 80a, Purple 83a or Yellow 86a.ZigZags are currently available in Red (78a), Lime (80a), Lemon (83a) or Orange (86a)If wheel options are available, please email us after ordering with your wheel choice and order number."

"The Overland has been designed to bridge the size gap between the Kanthaka and Tesseract decks. The Overland takes its name from a major avenue in the LA Westside connecting Culver City in the south with Rancho Park in the north. The board's graphic is an illustration of this region (with the Loaded office highlighted in red). The textured pattern in the urethane bottom sheet is a topographical map showing the undulating elevation gradients in Loaded's backyard. This new Overland deck from Loaded is a perfect all rounder. Sitting happily between the riders wanting a shorter, technical deck with a double kick and those who are looking for a lean, mean, downhill freeriding machine! Mild wheel-well flares, and a concave deck ensure a comfortable stance on the Overland is yours, with a beefy kicktail and steeper nose give a crisp pop and provides more leverage for ollies, slides and manuals. Additionally, the low-friction material glides easily over rough surfaces, allowing for more effortless boardslides and tailslides.Setup Recommendations:Reverse KingpinWe recommend reverse-kingpin trucks and 70mm wheels on the Overland for freeriding, carving, pumping and downhill aficionados. 43-44 baseplates provide more lean and stability for faster riding, while 50 baseplates are more responsive for quick maneuvering and aggressive slashing. On narrower (160-170mm) hangers, we recommend offset wheels; on wider (180mm) hangers, centerset wheels are ideal.Conventional KingpinConventional trucks and 58-66mm wheels complement the Overland in street, freestyle, transition, and light freeriding applications. On narrower (8.5"" or 159) hangers, we recommend offset wheels; on wider (9"" or 169) hangers, centerset wheels are ideal.CHOOSE FROM THE SETUP OPTIONS BELOW! "Loaded Longboard - Overland" |
With a subtle, tapered waistand directional shape, the Overland helps with quick back foot changes from rail to rail and accentuates the rear wheel-well flares., while a moderately stiff flex allows for responsive turning.Features:ROCKERSlight rocker complements the board's subtle flex and allows you to sink into a comfortable hammock-like interface for both leisurely and aggressive riding. The rocker helps freestyle tricks feel more natural and also creates a solid platform for pushing and commuting. The rocker blends smoothly into the rear wheel well flares.WHEEL WELL FLARESMild flares pressed into the deck increase wheel clearance while also serving as ergonomic reference points.CONCAVEThe Overland features mild radial concave, slightly deeper near the front to lock your foot in and mellower in the back.VARIABLE WHEELBASEThe Overland features two wheelbase options. The longer 22"" wheelbase is intended for reverse-kingpin trucks and provides additional stability for faster riding; the shorter 20.75"" wheelbase accommodates conventional trucks and allows for improved agility and responsiveness.NOSE & TAIL KICKSThe longer rear kicktail has a shallower angle to facilitate ollies and no-complies. A wider shape also provides ample leverage for bluntslides and tail-heavy freeriding. The shorter and steeper nose is better suited for nollie freestyle tricks, nose manuals, and leveling out ollies.FLEXThe Overland features a moderately rigid flex. The directional shape causes the flex pattern to feel stiffer near the front and slightly looser near the back, maintaining an energetic feel while pumping and hard carving without compromising the board's high-speed stability or sliding response.grip tapeThe Overland is equipped with coarse grip tape along the rails for optimal edge control in aggressive sliding and pumping maneuvers. A strip of mellower grip down the centerline of the board allows for less abrasive ollies and street freestyle tricks.DIRECTIONAL SHAPEOld-school nostalgia meets modern functionality. The Overland's '80s pool-style shape is wider in the front for lots of leverage and narrower in the back for quicker rail-to-rail foot movement while sliding and cornering. The hourglass waist accentuates the wheel well flares for better tactile feedback in slides. The kicktail is large and in charge for primarily directional riding.THERMOPLASTIC URETHANE BASEA TPU bottom sheet provides vibration damping and protects the board against abrasion. "Loaded Longboard - Cantellated Tesseract" |
"Loaded boards are proud to now offer the Cantellated single-kick variation of the Tesseract.Inspired by Loaded ambassadors DIY deck-chopping experiments, the Cantellated Tesseract offers a lighter and more compact alternative for those who love to shred and ollie with unidirectional style. The Cantellated Tesseract sports a single tail kick to meet your ollie-popping, tick-tacking, and manual-balancing needs. The Cantellated Tesseracts tail features a wider and fuller shape that promotes more frequent and emphatic use than its double-kick cousin. The width of the board stays consistent all the way up to the blunted nose for predictable leverage for slides and tricks anywhere on the board. To see this new board carving some shapes, watch the new video Denizens of the Petrified Dunes to the left!Setup Recommendations:The 3.5 wedging angle of these boards allows for a wide range of interesting hardware configurations. We find that a truck with a lower kingpin angle (below 45) works synergistically with the wedging angle to provide a versatile balance of lean and turn with a low ride height. A truck with a higher kingpin angle (above 45) works best with a soft 3-4 wedged riser to simultaneously preserve the steering geometry and damp vibrations.Their powerful pop and lightweight construction pair best with a light and small wheel for freestyle and technical freeride enthusiasts. We ride Orangatang Fat Free (65mm) or Keanu (66mm) to keep the ollies high and swing weight low. Scale up to a mid- to high-diameter wheel such as Orangatang Kilmer (69mm), Stimulus (70mm), Moronga (72.5mm), Cage (73mm), or Durian (75mm) for higher roll speed, smoother performance on rough pavement, and increased longevity. For downhill applications, both boards can accommodate up to an 80mm race wheel (such as the Orangatang Kegel). Be sure to fine tune your setup with the appropriate hardware (risers, bushings, washers) to provide the performance youre after, and always check for wheelbite before you ride.CHOOSE FROM THE SETUP OPTIONS BELOW! "Loaded Longboard - Truncated Tesseract" |
"Loaded boards are proud to now offer the Truncated no-kick variation of the Tesseract. Inspired by Loaded ambassadors DIY deck-chopping experiments, the Truncated Tesseract is a pared-down platform for canyon-carving and downhill-racing geeks. The Truncated Tesseract has gone through autonomy, dropping appendages in favour of a more traditional and race-driven shape while retaining all the performance-driven ergonomics and construction of its precursor. The board retains maximum width all the way back to the bolts for high cornering leverage and security during slides.
