Rose Otto Essential Oil |
Rose Otto Essential Oil\nBotanical Name: Rosa Damascena \n Plant Part: Flowers \n Extraction Method: Steam Distilled \n \n Description: The rose is one of the world’s best known flowers - stunning and exotic in both visual appearance and aroma.\n \n Otto is a Bulgarian word for oil. It’s used to differentiate the steam distilled from the absolute. The production of this oil is very labour intensive; the flowers are carefully hand picked at a particular time of day, when the fragrance of the flower is at its strongest. Since the oil is steam distilled, it only contains the natural essences of the rose petals as opposed to solvent extracted that possibly contains minute amounts of hexane.\n \n In aromatherapy the Rose Otto is more potent than the Rose Absolute, as it only needs a fraction of a percent to do wonders. The aroma of the oil grows intense as it ages if properly stored. When Rose Otto is cooled, it can congeal to a translucent soft mass which will liquify by the warmth of the hand.\n \n Rose is one of the most complex essential oils known. It contains more than 300 chemical compounds, of which the greater part is still unidentified. The comparison between the Rose Otto and Rose Absolute is clearly seen in the content of phenyl ethyl alcohol which is almost negligible in the Rose Otto. It is a water soluble constituent which is lost in the distillation process.\n \n This oil may form white or clear crystals at a temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21° C) and may turn into an opaque paste consistency in much lower temperature, if this occurs, let your bottle sit in a warm bath and it will return the clear liquid consistency.\n \n Colour: Clear to light yellow liquid\n \n Common Uses: Aromatherapists credit Rose Otto as having uplifting, aphrodisiac and spirit balancing properties. The pleasing aroma of Rose Otto is great for meditation. This product is very common in perfumery and aromatic industries. It’s a good emollient and it’s excellent for skin preparation especially focusing on dry, sensitive and mature skin. \n \n Consistency: Thin \n \n Note: Top \n \n Strength of Aroma: Strong \n \n Blends Well With: Bergamot, Chemomile Roman, Clary Sage, Frankincense , Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Melissa, Neroli, Patchouli, Palmarosa, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Ylang-Ylang\n \n Aromatic Scent: A sweet rich floral aroma similar to the scent of the freshly picked roses. \n \n History: Bulgaria is one of the biggest producers of pure rose oil, and because of their climate, the petals of the flowers do not over-produce wax. Approximately 4000 kilograms of petals are required to produce 1 kilogram of pure rose oil. The exotic nature and value were appreciated in ancient times by the Greeks, Chinese, Indians, Persians and Romans. All documentation indicates that their medical applications of the essential oil were identical to those that exist today. \n \n Cautions: This oil should be avoided during pregnancy. \n \nImportant Note: The information provided is for educational purposes only.\nSpecification Documents\n

Royal Blue Sparkle Mica |
Royal Blue Sparkle Mica\nMineral Powder Pigments such as oxides, ultramarines and micas are cosmetic-grade. These pigments are mined from the earth (inorganic), processed and filtered to remove harmful impurities such as lead or mercury. \n\nMica is a fine mineral powder that can be used to reflect light and create a pearlescent effect on the skin. This product is commonly combined with titanium dioxide or zinc oxides to be used in mineral makeup or cosmetics. When used in cosmetics, mica offers a lightweight, long-lasting effect on skin without feeling too cakey or heavy. Our micas are approved for use in soap, mineral cosmetics and cosmetic bases. \n \n\nRoyal Blue Sparkle Mica is composed of mica flakes coated with rutile titanium dioxide, which appear glossy and sparkling silver in colour. The light absorbing material is then directly deposited to form the pigment. When mixed with transparent pigment or dyestuff the pigment colours and the lustre shine through beautifully. \nWhen blending with carbon black it will present stronger lustre effect and produce a silver-grey metallic effect. It also can be used with aluminium paste to obtain white and bright silver effect.\nSilver light can be seen from the reflection angle and the colours can be viewed from side/dispersion angles. \n \nRecommended usage: \n• Cosmetic Application Guidelines available on request/ available to download.\n• Using scales is recommended for larger batches.\n• Please do small test batches as some of the colours are unstable in cold process soap.\n• We recommend dispersing the powders into a small amount of your base first, then add to the remaining product and stir well.\n• It is a good idea to wear a mask, goggles/glasses and protective clothing/apron as working with volatile powders is messy. Make sure you work in a well-ventilated area.\n\n\nINCI: Mica - Titanium Dioxide - Ultramarine Blue\nCountry of Origin: China\n\nCAS: 12001.26.2 - 13463.67.7 - 57455.37.5\nCI: 77019 - 77891 - 77007\nAverage Particle Size: 10-60μm\nPH level: 6.0-9.0 (4% h₂0)\n \nSolubility: These are natural colour additives which are insoluble (they will remain suspended within the product and will not dissolve) in the formulation or product to which they are added.
