In 'The Alternative Factor' an uninhabited M-class planet disappears from its system for a short period of time - and when it reappears, there is a mysterious human on the surface. In 'The City on the Edge of Forever' McCoy leaps back in time and threatens to destroy the delicate time line. Kirk and Spock travel after him, and Kirk falls in love with a woman from the twentieth century.
