In 'If I Had a Million' (1932), a dying tycoon decides to give million-dollar handouts to eight people picked from the phone book. In Mississippi' (1935), Fields plays a riverboat singer lauded as a gunslinger after his opponent accidentally shoots himself. In 'Poppy' (1936), snake-oil salesman Eustace McGargle (Fields) will do anything for his cherished daughter.
