When the duo investigate further, they find links to a series of suicides at a horse ranch, and to a mysterious young girl. 'The Ring 2' (2005) is set six months after the terrifying events of the first film. Rachel has taken her son Aidan (David Dorfman) to the peaceful mountain resort of Astoria, where she takes a job on a local newspaper.
