"A fantastic variety for a small or medium garden because of its compact size, Magnolia 'Genie' makes a delightful specimen plant for cottage garden style planting or as a focal point in a large tub. Blooming from April in a rich eruption of colour on the bare branches, the dark purple-red buds open to reveal rich maroon, lightly scented tulip-shaped flowers. Make space in your garden for this hardy, deciduous magnolia, and Genie will grow into an upright shrub around 3m x 2m, rewarding you with a glorious display every spring. Sure to be much in demand this year, we supply an established plant in a 14cm pot, ready for planting out.  "

"Camellia Collection 3 x 9cm"
"One of the nation's favourite early spring plants, Camellias are, when given the right conditions, very straightforward and problem free. Providing fabulous displays of flowers when almost every other plant is still asleep for winter, they're ideal for providing a bold splash of colour when the garden is quite drab - plus they're fabulous in pots where they can be moved to any part of your garden. The key to success with Camellias is they need acidic soils - like Rhododendrons. This means they can easily be grown in pots in ericaceous composts, and provided they are fed with specialist ericaceous feed, will provide many years of colour and interest. They are evergreen, and their neat, shiny, tough leaves will provide a backdrop to other plants all year.Flower buds start swelling late the previous summer, and keep getting bigger all autumn and winter, until they burst open in early spring. The flowers can be caught by frosts when they are opening, but the buds are generally fine, and the plant is 100% hardy and tough. Supplied as three plants in 9cm pots ready for potting on or planting out, each Camellia collection contains one each of: Blood of China - Vivid, scarlet-red, semi-double blooms with a central crown of yellow stamens 3m x 2m. Fl Feb - April Brushfield's Yellow - Creamy white, anemone-form blooms with a light-yellow tone to the centre of the flower. 4m x 2.5m. Fl Feb - April Triumphans - Deep rose-pink, double blooms. 3m x 3m. Fl Feb - April"

"Paeony 'Cora Louise' bare root"
"An absolute stunner, this lovely perennial is an Intersectional Peony, a hybrid between traditional perennial varieties and the tougher tree peony, combining beauty, colour and robustness in one. Also known as an Itoh Peony after Dr. Toichi Itoh, 'Cora Louise' produces beautiful white flowers with frilly, ruffled centres and a unique lavender blush at the petal base. Highly prized by collectors these peonies quickly form a neat mound of deep-green foliage that acts as the perfect backdrop for its giant flowers - this superb peony will give you a tremendous display through May and into June. What's more, the blooms carry a light scent which is a joy on those sunny spring days! Long lived and easy to grow, this fully hardy peony is especially vigorous with sturdy flower stems that don't require staking - making them exquisite cut flowers. Perfect in mixed borders in sun or light shade, it's not a plant that enjoys the confines of a pot for too long - if you must grow them in a container, use a large one and after a few years unpot the plant and relocate to a bed or border. Plants will produce dozens of flowers when happy and because they grow wide rather than high, they are an excellent choice for a border hedge, with a wave of flowers which add to the overall planting scheme. Consider growing them in several groupings of three or more at intervals along the length of a flower border for an early wave of romantic colour tones. Supplied as a bare root plant ready for potting up and growing on or planting straight out when the soil has warmed."

"Pieris Collection 3 x 9cm"
"These showy evergreen shrubs are perhaps the perfect garden plant as they are easy to care for, fully hardy and give months of interest in the garden. Young foliage in early spring takes on dazzling shades of red and pink before slowly maturing to glossy green. Later in spring dense panicles of white or pink blossom emerge resembling 'Lily of the Valley' and giving a superb display for several weeks. Pieris are very easy to care for and need little attention apart from removal of spend flowers and a light trim every couple of years to keep shape. Although fully hardy they are best in a sheltered spot as young foliage can be damaged by severe frost and high winds.  Plant in borders or large patio pots. Best in acidic soil, in containers use ericaceous compost. Collection contains 3 x 9cm potted plants, 1 each of: Forest Flame (AGM) - fiery red young foliage turns to green through pink and cream. Creamy white flowers. 4m x 2.5m Little Heath - unusual variegated green and cream leaves. H1m x W1m Mountain Fire (AGM) - Bright red young leaves mature to dark green and contrast with white flowers. "Salix 'Mount Aso' 3L"
"Wow!... Just wow!! You really can't get a more striking plant for your late winter and spring garden - and we're so excited to be able to bring it to you! This new introduction is absolutely exquisite with its gorgeous pink fluffy catkins which just beg to be stroked as you walk past the bush. The fuzzy bunny tails burst from the tight maroon buds as the temperature warms in early spring, bringing a splash of vibrant colour to your garden, with the promise of warmer weather to come. When grown as a hedge or as coppices, the new young growth is luminous with fire when the catkins break - it's really a sight to behold Perfect for a winter garden, the pussy-willow catkins start to appear from late winter and last well into the spring, and the stems are truly impressive when cut and brought into the house for an early flower display. In fact, this variety was bred for the cut-flower market, by a cut-flower arranger, so you know that the stems will make a great visual impact. As the season progresses, the tiny pink powder puffs gradually turn golden as the pollen emerges, bringing a subtle shift of colour to the whole bush, before the blue-green leaves emerge and form a magnificent backdrop to other plants and flowers in the garden. Not just a pretty face, 'Mount Aso' is also known for its abilty to tolerate pollution, salt sea air and damp areas - a truly versatile and useful plant! We supply an established plant in a 3L pot, with an ultimate height and spread of approx. 2m x 2m, but can be restricted by pruning."

"Yellow Bird of Paradise 3 x 9cm (Caesalpinia)"
"If you want to grow something different, then this is the plant for you. The Yellow Bird of Paradise (Caesalpinia gillesii), is a bushy shrub with a profusion of snapdragon-like flowers dripping with orange-red tassels. Caesalpinia goes by several other names, including the Desert Bird of Paradise and Crimson Threadflower - which give a hint to its drought tolerance and beautiful flowers. The yellow flowers reach around 2.5cm (1in) and are extended further, sometimes by as much as 7.5cm (3in), by the showy stamens. Produced on erect stems 15-30 (6-12in) long, the blooms are a favourite with humming birds in its native South America. Rarely sold or grown in the UK, Martin discovered it on a Spanish Nursery on a trip there recently, and bought all we were allowed to. With fine feathery foliage, like an Acacia, this bird of paradise (which incidentally is not related to the Strelitzia), is borderline hardy in the UK, so we advise protecting from frost in winter. Grow it in large pots in a sunny position, and enjoy its amazing flower displays in late summer. Caesaplinia easy to care for and generally problem free - plants under glass may need a restrictive prune after the first flush of flowers."

It is very similar to other flowering cherries such as Kanzan, however it grows in an upright fashion forming a very compact, tall habit making it perfect for anyone who wants the benefits of one of these truly majestic trees but has limited space."

"Flowering Cherry Kiku Shidare Zakura will transform your garden for years to come with its incredibly beautiful year-round displays! Also known as Cheal's Weeping, this deciduous beauty bursts into life in early spring with burnished-bronze leaves, quickly followed by clusters of pretty pink, double flowers that completely smother each elegant, arching branch. Has a very pronounced weeping habit, so perfect for smaller gardens.
