"Amelia By Maria Rivans"
"The work of Maria Rivans is known for its mash up of surrealism meets pop-art. Her scrapbook-like collages - with their 1950s pop-culture references - have all the playful delight of an early Paolozzi, mixed with the strange surreality of a Dali, and brought up to date with a certain sophistication and quirky aesthetic, unique to Rivans. ‘Amelia’ (poignantly named after Rivans’ dearly-loved Italian grandmother) depicts the black and white visage of Audrey Hepburn, glamorously decked-out in large, dark glasses. Hepburn’s halter neck dress has been crafted from an antiquated map and Rivans has adorned her head with a fabulous bricolage headdress: in amongst tumbling flora, fauna and foliage, Rivans has included stylised 1950s iconography, from playing cards to Cadillacs, TV sets to Super 8s. Inspired by retro Italian glamour, Rivans created the print at the end of a “glorious long hot summer” to “help us through the long winter months ahead” - we can't imagine anything more uplifting to keep us warm in wintertime!"

"The Resplendent Rabbit-bird of Paradise By Penelope Kenny"
"Contemporary artist Penelope Kelly explores the animal world through a magic realist lens in her bewitching prints. Fascinated by evolutionary processes and the effect of genetic manipulation technologies, Kelly’s prints are part Darwin-esque illustration, part surrealist fantasy, for a stimulating and compelling aesthetic. ‘The Resplendent Rabbit-Bird of Paradise’ depicts a dark blue rabbit-come-bird perched upon a blossoming, golden branch. The distinctive head and ears of the furry mammal give way, gradually, to the feathered chest and beautiful plumed tail of the bird, which fills the print, backed by delicate flowers, in the style of traditional Japanese etchings. Stunning and hypnotic, ‘The Resplendent Rabbit-Bird of Paradise’ is a truly captivating piece of contemporary print work."

"Just Close Your Eyes... Yellow By Kid-B"
"Kid-B is an emerging artist on the street-art scene. The creative brainchild of female Bass music DJ ‘B-Trix Kiddo’, Kid-B translates her passion for beats onto the canvas, to create a street style that’s dripping with urban savvy. Mixing street-art with a pop aesthetic, Kid-B’s work is all about bold graphics, loud palettes, and no-fuss attitude. ‘Just Close Your Eyes…’ is from Kid-B’s debut collection ‘In the Beginning’, which celebrates the birth of 90s Drum and Bass culture. Across the print, Kid-B has spelt out the words ‘Just close your eyes & dream with me you’ll hear the sound of music’ in spray-can style. The lettering is encircled with a neon heart and shot through with a graffiti'd arrow, brilliantly recapturing 90s iconography with a twist of contemporary cool."

"Craigie's Canary By Peter Blake"
"Godfather of British pop art, Sir Peter Blake, is one of the twentieth-century’s most prolific modern artists. Employing an astonishing array of styles and techniques, Blake’s work is nothing short of iconic: from the famous ‘Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album cover - a meticulous collage of cult characters - to his compelling oil painting ‘Self Portrait With Badges’, Blake has developed a well-established and well-loved style over the last half a century. Perfect for the festive season - but beautiful enough to carry through the year - ‘Craigie’s Canary’ depicts a busy mantel shelf, filled with household objects, including a model reindeer and a string of fairy lights. Blake’s hand-drawn style is stunning in its raw simplicity, giving the impression of an unfinished artist’s sketch. The piece is finished with a delicate pop of colour, as a small, yellow canary perches on a branch of pink blossoming flowers. A quietly beautiful print, ‘Craigie’s Canary’ showcases Blake at his most subtle - charming, evocative and truly captivating."

"Jean-Michel By Andrea Visconti"
"Italian born graphic designer and visual artist Andrea Visconti works at the cutting edge of contemporary print-making. Inspired by 80s Neo-Expressionism, early graffiti art and contemporary street-art scenes, Visconti draws these different styles together, using digital techniques to create his own, unique aesthetic. His work explores the relationship between humans and technology, as well as changing perceptions of reality, for an artistic practice that is both visually compelling and powerfully thought-provoking. To mark the 56th birthday of the late American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, Visconti has released ‘Jean-Michel’, a portrait of the eponymous artist, created through cutting edge, digital processes. The final result is striking - Basquiat’s majestic features have been crafted form computerised shapes, which explode outwards in spiky shards to create an incredible sense of dynamism. An image like no other, Visconti shows us how modern-day technology might interact with past masters to create stunning new aesthetics."
