"Columbian Jungle 2016 - Standard by Kristjana S Williams"
"The work of fine artist Kristjana S Williams is about layering the old with the new. Her images reference traditional art and illustration, bringing them up to date with contemporary printing techniques. With a passion for nature and an eye for colour, Williams creates landscapes and vistas of unrivalled beauty with a unique aesthetic. ‘Columbian Jungle’ creates a dream-like landscape using monochrome etchings to achieve an impressive sense of depth, overlaid with a menagerie of brightly coloured plants, fruit, birds, beasts and butterflies. With the intensity of traditional Chinese silk painting, ‘Columbian Jungle’ is compelling in its use of rich colour and intricate detail, masterfully blending nineteenth century illustrative style with twenty-first century collage aesthetics. This print is signed and numbered by the artist. This print is also available in a larger format here"

"Bill By Minty"
"Contemporary artist Minty is known for his wheat paste-ups, which have enlivened the streets of Brighton with their bold and brave aesthetic. Instantly recognisable, Minty’s colourful work integrates cultural symbolism with absurdism and eroticism, often branded with the three, simple words, ‘I Love You’, and his own, stencilled sign-off. ‘Bill’ depicts the familiar face of Bill Murray, popified in flat tones of peach, sunshine-yellow and inky black, and plastered with a repeated rococo pattern. A single tear falls from one of the actor’s eyes, while a constructivist-style triangle covers the other, both in a shade of sky-blue, for a fantastically harmonious colour-clash, which captures all of the raw and dynamic energy of street art in a limited edition print."

"Dope By Minty"
"Contemporary artist Minty is known for his wheat paste-ups, which have enlivened the streets of Brighton with their bold and brave aesthetic. Instantly recognisable, Minty’s colourful work integrates cultural symbolism with absurdism and eroticism, often branded with the three, simple words, ‘I Love You’, and his own, stencilled sign-off. For ‘Dope’, Minty has mocked-up a Sun newspaper cover, featuring a Homer Simpson-related scandal. The details are obscured by the graffiti’d outline of Homer’s face, scrawled over the top in a thick, black, line of spray-can pigment, and filled with peach-coloured cross-hatch. A single tear drops from the patriarch’s eye, while word ‘Dope’ fills the bottom of the print in large, red letters. Fantastically striking, Minty has captured all of the raw and dynamic energy of street art in this limited edition print."

"Who You Gonna Call Now (Ghostbusters) By Mark Davies"
"Mark Davies is a contemporary British artist, whose limited edition print work reflects his lifelong fascination with the art of telling stories. Taking inspiration from the dark fables of Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm, Davies draws on the Renaissance art of Piero Della Francesco and Giuseppe Acrimbolodo, and the surreal aesthetic of Salvador Dali, to create a singularly beautiful and intensely hypnotic series of prints. In ‘Who You Gonna Call Now (Ghostbusters)’, Davies has powerfully captured the magic and the ambience of the cult 1980s action film. The print depicts the Ghostbusters HQ, moments after the team have abandoned their mission to save the residents of NYC. Ethereal specks of light dance around the deserted space, traces of ghosts in Proton green flicker in the air, smashed computers, opened filing cabinets and fading murals, all combine to create a powerful mood for an unfamiliar take on the classic film. With a sensitivity to light and colour, Davies’s print is reminiscent of the oil paintings of the great masters, deftly telling a story within a single, beautiful snapshot."

"V By Ben Eine"
"Originally a writer, Ben Eine is now one of London’s most prolific artists, specialising in typographical art. The archetype of contemporary UK street-art, Eine’s ‘21st Century City’ was famously gifted to Barack Obama by David Cameron in 2010, and can be seen daily on his canvas of choice: the walls and shutters of the streets of London. His work is a celebration of font and graphics - of the shapes, curves, colours and lines, and the beauty therein. ‘Letter V’ presents the twenty-second letter of the English alphabet in Eine’s signature font: beautifully decorative, contrasting angular, striated sections, with bouncy curves in a harmonious mix of bright orange, sunshine yellow, light teal, and berry purple. Set against an inky-black background, ‘Letter V’ is a striking celebration of humanity’s greatest tools: art and language."

"Man Falls By Charming Baker"
"If contemporary artist Charming Baker can count Damien Hirst amongst his fans, there can be no doubt that this is a man of great talent. But don’t just take Hirst’s word for it: Baker’s esoteric prints do all the talking, with their offbeat subjects, extraordinary execution and unique aesthetic. His work is best known for its relationship with destruction: Baker often damages his pieces by drilling, cutting, occasionally shooting at, and often defacing them in some way, to question the precious valuation of art in contemporary culture. ‘Man Falls’ depicts a smudged but detailed painted image of a jockey, mid fall from his white and chestnut coloured mare. Baker has mixed up mediums, creating a textured, woven background, that seems at sections to intersect with the oil painting, while adding depth with thin golden lines that stretch towards the horizon point. The layered materials clash in a way that confounds expectation, as the lines of abstraction, pasted onto the figurative sketch, transform the traditional image. It may not an easy piece to read but, in the words of Hirst: “who cares? Charming Baker’s paintings are great.”"

"Easy Black Glitter By Gary Stranger"
"Typographic artist Gary Stranger is known for his sleek, limited edition prints which consist of hand drawn and painted typographical arrangements. ‘Easy Black Glitter’ depicts the single word ‘easy’ scrawled across a white, marbled background in a cursive type which is reminiscent of 1920s Art Deco style, brought up to date with modern minimalism. Stranger has formed the word from hand black, flattered pigment, which shimmers against the flat marble, creating a beautiful sense of decadence. Although Stranger picks his words for their visual appeal, he is never a stranger to the nuances and richness of the English language, always sensitive to the full meaning of every term that he depicts. In this instance, the print is full of optimism, summoning the jazzy trope of ‘easy living’ and reminding us that the challenges life throws at us are always easier than we anticipate."

"Burnt Gold By Toasters"
"Three artists, one Toaster image: Toasters is at once art collective and urban project, harnessing the modern, street trope of anonymity to strengthen the impact of its visual concept. A charmingly simple stencil, the image has been repeated since 1999 all over the world, on stickers and posters, banners, street corners, music festivals, sports stadiums, museum walls - even on toasters, for some real meta action. ‘Burnt Gold’ depicts the iconic image, rendered in soft gold tones against hard black outlines. Emitting from the toast slots, and gathering at the bottom edge of the print, Toasters have created smokey stains, to create the illusion of burnt toast. The realism of the smoke contrasts brilliantly against the naive, illustrative stencil image of the device for a visually arresting piece of contemporary art."

‘Exotic Harlem’ depicts the iconic image repeated along a diagonal line which cuts across the centre of the print. Black and white toasters seem to tumble, surrounded by the ghostly silhouettes of other, identical toasters, in flat shades of bright orange and turquoise, while hard pink and white lines intersect to create an almost abstract pattern, brimming with a sense of motion and dynamism, for a visually arresting piece of contemporary art."

"Barricade By Not Now Nancy"
"The work of Not Now Nancy stages a dichotomy between a pastoral past and a modern urbanism, bringing conflicting themes together into a harmonious and compellingly beautiful blend. Her prints are a fusion of layers, building found, antique illustrations into hand drawn elements and symbolic contemporary imagery to achieve a unique and captivating aesthetic. ‘Barricade’ depicts a large, bricolage butterfly, assembled from a series of greyscale illustrations: mechanical workings, Victorian muscle-men, and majestic rhinoceros heads combine to produce the illusion of the delicate, winged insect. The perfect symmetry of the collage has all the shocking perfection of an ink-blot test, which Not Now Nancy has exaggerated, adding cascading drips of black pigment and hand applied ribbons of gold leaf, which seem to slither"

"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘Some Like it Hot’ depicts the iconic Marilyn Monroe, decked out in provocative, S&M attire: her tight vinyl corset and elbow-length gloves glisten in the black and white light, while rows of silver chains and buckled strips of leather adorn her chest, running up to her neck collar. Only her parted, pouting lips have been colourised: a deep shade of scarlet, for stunning, sultry contrast against the monochrome photograph. A distressed, American flag comprises the background, all awash with dulled metallic tones, graffiti scrawls, and blocky text which reads ‘Some Like it Hot’, for a truly iconic work of contemporary art."

A fervent animal rights activist, Chloe’s print reminds us of the horror of the fur industry, and shows us that glamour and luxury need not come at the expense of soft, baby animals. The image of a large, glistening butterfly wing provides a mural behind the muse, creating dazzling texture and an astonishing sense of depth, for a truly iconic work of contemporary art."

"Loyalty By Chloe Rox"
"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘Loyalty’ is an exercise in the contemporary nude: an oil-slicked woman stands seductively, her arms draped across her body, her head tilted upwards to obscure her face. Behind the muse, Chloe has printed a Union Jack flag, which seems to crumble and decay at the edges - a statement on the demise of patriotism? An anarchic nod towards the repurposing of the country’s national emblem? Or simply the brilliant transposition of one of our most iconic cultural images for a truly striking work of contemporary art?"

"Marilyn Medusa By Trafford Parsons"
"Trafford Parsons’ extraordinary and long-spanning career has made its mark on the art world. Avowedly anti-establishment, Parsons work mines popular culture, from B movies to B sides, and brings an energetic street-art aesthetic to the familiar icons that haunt his work. ‘Marilyn Medusa’ takes Warhol's iconic screen print and merges it with one of the Ancient Greek’s most enduring myths: that of Medusa, that snake-headed gorgon. Gone are Marilyn’s gentle waves of golden locks, replaced with a vicious hive of slithering snakes, their open, fanged jaws thrust towards the viewer. A beautiful fusion of cultural iconography, ‘Marilyn Medusa’ is first and foremost an exercise in bold, visual impact, which Parson’s has achieved with brilliant and easeful artistry."

"Memento Mori 99 By Carl Moore"
"Digital artist Carl Moore produces an aesthetic like no other: revelling in the uncanny, Moore’s prints are an exercise in contemporary surreality, achieved to extraordinary success. Merging the playful with the tragic, the absurd with the endearing, Moore produces highly graphic images, bold in their colour and compositional technique. ‘Memento Mori ‘99’ is no exception: against a bright turquoise, star-studded, background, a classic ’99 ice cream dominates the frame, complete with melting drips, coursing down the cone. Yet, in true surreal fashion, Moore confounds our expectations: a closer look reveals not a deliciously whipped, frozen treat, but a human skull, its teeth biting over the edge of the cone, a flake protruding from its cranium, while a red splatter (strawberry sauce? or something a little more ominous…?) drips towards its sunken eye sockets. Certainly not your average ‘99 - and not your average screen print either: Moore’s work is brilliantly unique and devilishly spirited."

"BISOUS By Sara Pope"
"Sara Pope is a contemporary British artist, known for her seductive paintings of bold and beautiful lips. With a background in the world of haute couture fashion, and a day job as a high profile shoe designer, it’s no surprise that Pope’s prints are so saturated with style and glamour. Pink, pouty and perfect, Pope’s lip prints, with their high gloss sheen and signature drips of running paint, are nothing short of iconic. ‘BISOUS’ is a departure from Pope’s classic image, depicting not the lips themselves, but their tantalising trace, as puckered pigments crowd the print in shades of cherry red, auburn, hot-pink, and burnt-orange. Playful and provocative, ‘BISOUS’ is full of visual allure, beautifully musing on the nature of beauty and celebrity in contemporary culture. HURRY HURRY - ONLY ONE AP AND ONE PP LEFT IN STOCK"

"Boys of Summer By Richard Denne"
"Bright based artist Richard Denne describes himself not as a painter, but as an architect. Building his brightly coloured, and often geometrically sensitive artworks from a blend of traditional and digital techniques, paint and printmaking processes, merging the figurative with the abstract, Denne's sexually attuned pieces are truly unique and breathtakingly beautiful. ‘Boys of Summer’ uses a mash-up of patterns and colours, shapes and styles, to create a dreamy vista, where the titular boys bathe in crystal clear waters, surrounded by tall palm trees, and rolling green lawns. Cherry-red sits against grass-green and sky-blue for a bold palette with strong visual impact, capturing the hazy heat of a summer’s evening with stunning artistic clarity."

"Mad in England - Brexshit Special By Carrie Reichardt"
"Self-styled ‘craftivist’ Carrie Reichardt’s work intersects craft and activism, using mural, mosaic and screen-printing to forge a pioneering aesthetic. Inspired by the British tradition of subversive ceramics, her work is characteristically colourful, attuned to the tactile as much as the visual, incorporating text to convey a powerful message. ‘Mad in England - Brexshit Special’ depicts the image of a golden, gilt frame, containing a royal-red mosaic pattern, studded with eclectic imagery. Using white tiles for striking constant, Reichardt has created the image of the British crown with the words ‘Mad in England’ positioned underneath. Forget the jingoistic myth of ‘made in England’, Reichardt’s piece seems to say; the only thing that rhetoric has exposed is our own madness in the chaos of ‘Brexshit’. Here here!"
