"Vale of the White Horse By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a beautiful giclee reproduction on 310gsm thick, 100% cotton rag paper of a 1939 watercolour by Eric Ravillious. Rain falls from a luminous sky onto contours of land sculpted by time and coloured with a pallet of brown, grey, green and white. This is one of a series of chalk figures painted by Ravilious before and during the World War II. The White Horse of Uffington in the Berkshire Downs dates back to the Bronze Age, circa 1000 BC. It is by far the oldest of the white horse figures in Britain, and has a unique design. The White Horse has had an impact on various cultural forms, from Henry Moore’s sculpture to Paul Nash’s photography, G.K. Chesterton’s poetry and the music and album art of Kate Bush, XTC and Nirvana."

"Paddle Steamers Bristol Quay By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a giclee limited edition reproduction of a 1938 Watercolour on paper . The Paddle Steamer ‘Britannia’ (which Ravilious misspells here as ‘Brittania’) worked the route from the Devon port of Ilfracombe to Weston-super-Mare and still holds the Bristol Channel speed record of 1 hour 56 minutes for a journey by paddle steamer between these ports.  It was sketched by Ravilious during a trip to Bristol with John Nash."

"Rye Harbour By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a giclee limited edition reproduction of a 1938 Watercolour on paper. ‘Rye Harbour’ captures the clarity of early morning seaside light. "Dangerous Work at Low Tide By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a giclee limited edition reproduction of a 1940 watercolour by Eric Ravilious. The original painting painting took pride of place amongst Ravilious’ works when exhibited after the war at the first War Artists’ Exhibition. It is unusual for Ravilious to depict people in his painting but two of the men in this one, Commander Obbard and Lieutenant West, were awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (DSC) for their courage. The piece combines a depiction of the dangerous war work being done with the sheer beauty of place it is set in. Naval officers had been sent to the oyster beds at Whitestable, Kent, to diffuse a German magnetic mine – one of only two washed up on the English coast. But Ravilious pay just as much attention to the sun, low upon the horizon, the glass-flat tidal pools and a sky of serene beauty, a beauty that belies the danger that these officers were in fact facing."

"Leaving Scapa Flow By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a giclee limited edition reproduction of a c1940 Watercolour on paper printed to the original size. One amongst several haunting naval images painted whilst Ravilious was fulfilling his role as Official War Artist aboard the H. M. S Highlander. There’s a vastness of sky and seascape here which seems to emphasise the loneliness of the single mariner. But there’s a poignant beauty in the blues and browns, and the flecked spray seems to dance at the tops of an icy depth."

"The Waterwheel By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a giclee reproduction of a 1938 Watercolour on paper and is printed to original size. Ravilious often depicted the working landscape where the worker is referenced not by being present in the picture himself, but by the tools or implements with which he works. This is an image of attractive pastoral theme: geese swim a stream and the sun casts a gentle light over the blues and browns of the landscape. Mans presence in the landscape is reference in the centrally placed water wheel."

"Beachy Head By Eric Ravilious"
"This is a new limited edition giclee reproduction of a 1939 watercolour by Eric Ravilious. It is of the lighthouse off Beachy Head which, in 1902, replaced Belle Tout lighthouse on the cliffs (still standing today but now a private house). The light in this picture is used to graphically create several triangular planes from light, sea and land. The original picture was exhibited to great acclaim, and it was after this that Ravilious was commissioned as a war artist to paint his now famous series of coastal views. The cliffs of Southern England are, iconic of England as a whole - even the name ‘Albion’, the oldest name for the Island of Britain, may derive from the whiteness of the chalk."

The two women in the picture are Eric Ravilious and Edward Bawdens wives. Charlotte Bawden is in the deckchair and Tirzah  Ravilious is preparing vegetables.
