"Almond Blossom, 1890 by Vincent van Gogh"
"Theo Van Gogh wrote to his brother Vincent on January 31, 1980 to announce the birth of his son. As a means of celebration, Van Gogh, who was extremely close to his younger brother, immediately began to work on a painting for Theo and his wife. In a letter to his mother he wrote, “I started right away to make a picture for him, to hang in their bedroom, big branches of white almond blossom against a blue sky.” The subject was one of his favourite; blossoming branches against a blue sky. As a symbol of this new life, Vincent chose an almond tree, which blooms early in Southern regions, announcing the coming of spring as early as February. The bright colour reflects the paintings made in Arles and the dark lines outlining the branches are a feature of the Japanese floral studies that Van Gogh greatly admired."

"Choppy Intern By Bonnie and Clyde"
"Bonnie and Clyde has mastered the art of mixed media collage, blending photography with fine art until the lines of distinction disappear. At first glance, her brightly coloured brushstrokes - often depicting modernist architecture, expanses of sea, and palm-tree lined streets - Are reminiscent of early Hockney. Closer inspection reveals the wealth of different techniques that Bonnie and Clyde has employed to unrivalled effect. ‘Choppy Intern’ was first released at the artrepublic Art Yard Sale on Sunday 5th June 2016, in which some of the biggest names in the contemporary art world came together in Brighton’s Jubilee Square, giving fans the chance to buy from the artists directly. ‘Choppy Intern’ is raw collage at its very best: Bonnie and Clyde has used a photograph of a house and covered it with heavy brushstrokes of blue and grey, leaving only a trace of the photograph visible. Around this, Bonnie and Clyde has layered up a blue sky with white clouds, using different materials, styles and techniques for a blunt, choppy effect. The end result is bold and arresting, with its strong use of colour, collage and composition."

"The Mystery Poster By Carne Griffiths"
"‘The Mystery’ was originally released the artrepublic show at the Moniker Art Fair as a Limited Edition print. Carne has now released this popular piece as an Open Edition print. ‘The Mystery’ serves as a reminder of our connection with nature and the importance of Nature's role. Using complex painted layers employing liquids such as tea, alcohol and calligraphy ink Griffith’s portrait works encourage us to lose ourselves in the details of each portrait where floral patterns and flowing lines overlap to create the features of each face. The Mystery suggests that beneath the surface there is a much stronger connection with nature than most of us realise, and that in our quietest most meditative times we can form this connection with our natural surroundings. ‘The Mystery is signed by the artist."

"Beautiful Decay Poster By Carne Griffiths"
"‘Beautiful Decay’ was first created for a group Exhibition in Hong King called trailblazers featuring artists D*Face, Nigel Cox, Pure Evil, Angela Lizon, Soe Sorren, Nick Walker and Sas Christian. The Limited Edition version of the piece has now sold out and Griffith’s has launched it as an open Edition print. ‘Beautiful Decay’ works as a reminder that, in the artists own words ‘we can find beauty in nature in the most surprising of places and that decay, part of the natural cycle is a catalyst for the start of something else new and beautiful. The piece reminds of us of our own mortality and the necessity to seize the moment. The creation of the piece involves layers of fine line drawing in calligraphy ink, then being destroyed with layers of tea and alcohol. This process of deliberate destruction is deployed in much of Griffiths work and the process itself mirrors the theme of much of his work. From out of the chaos and destruction Griffiths creates new forms and shapes which are dictated by the spills and splashes left by each layer.’ ‘Beautiful Decay’ is signed by the artist."
