"Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose by John Singer Sargent"
"This painting of two girls hanging Chinese lanterns in the early dusk amongst lily flowers and roses was inspired by a boat trip Sargent took on the Thames at Pangbourne. Seargent went on to complete his studies for the painting outside at dusk every night to get the light just right as the summer ended he has to replace the flowers with artificial ones. The two girls were Polly and Dorothy (Dolly) Barnard, the daughters of his friend the illustrator Frederick Barnard The title comes from the song 'The Wreath', by the eighteenth-century composer of operas Joseph Mazzinghi, which was popular in the 1880s. The refrain of the song asks the question 'Have you seen my Flora pass this way?' to which the answer is 'Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose'."

"Grizzly Bear By Dave White"
"Dave White is an award-winning British artist, working at the forefront of contemporary fine art. With a fresh approach to the traditional paint-to-canvas medium, White uses oil and watercolour to create works that are filled with expression, emotion and dynamism. Known for his animal series’, White exploits colour, texture and tonality to captures creatures from the natural world with astonishing vividness. The Grizzly Bear, North America’s ferocious but beautiful beast, has been given the Dave White treatment: thick, dynamic brush strokes, flecks and paint splatters, and fluid drips of pigment, in earthy tones of black, brown and blue, converge in this portrait of the glorious Grizzly. Building figurative realism through layers of textured abstraction, White captures the vitality of the majestic mammal with breathtaking visual aplomb. ONLY 2 LEFT IN STOCK"

"Born in the Eye of Fortune By Prefab77"
"Art collective Prefab77 take contemporary street art to new heights - literally. Their urban artworks to-date include awe-inspiring paste-ups in Newcastle and Brighton, each spanning the size of a three-storey building. Their work relies on heavy texture, using collage techniques, thick application of gloss, and bounteous coatings of spray-paint, to create bold, busy and beautiful prints. ‘Born in the Eye of Fortune’ depicts the photorealist profile of a woman set against a Franz Kline-esque monochrome background: think, lashings of black and white pigment fuelled by Abstract Expressionist force. The female muse looks coyly towards her viewer from under an collaged, Napoleonic helmet, bedecked in military uniform, for a surreal-meets-urban, street-to-canvas aesthetic."

"Excelsior By Prefab77"
"Art collective Prefab77 take contemporary street art to new heights - literally. Their urban artworks to-date include awe-inspiring paste-ups in Newcastle and Brighton, each spanning the size of a three-storey building. Their work relies on heavy texture, using collage techniques, thick application of gloss, and bounteous coatings of spray-paint, to create bold, busy and beautiful prints. A mash-up of the familiar and the totally innovative, ‘Excelsior’ blends traditional, Tudor portraiture with contemporary collage aesthetics for a truly singular work of urban art. A woman sits for her collage-portrait, in antiquated dress: squint you eyes, and this could be Anne Boleyn in her puff sleeved gown, string of pearls at the neck and peaked bonnet on her brow. A closer look reveals a dazzling array of collage elements, from badges and patches, to patterns and prints, all jumbled together in electric shades of black, white, and cherry-red, for a captivating street-to-canvas aesthetic."

"Peeled Lemon with Glass - after Willem Kalf By Chris Kettle"
"Brighton based artist Chris Kettle is known for his ‘New Still Life’ paintings: inspired by the antique masters, Kettle has updated the traditional form, creating unexpected arrangements from obscure objects, and realising his explosive vision through a hyper-real aesthetic. Merging realism with abstraction, ‘Peeled Lemon with Glass After Willem Kalf’ depicts a still life scene: glassware, a half-peeled lemon, and pleats of bright red fabric, are loosely arranged on a darkened table. Recalling the aesthetic of the Dutch Golden Age painter who gives his name to the title, ‘Peeled Lemon with Glass After Willem Kalf’ plays with the painterly power of light and dark, as luminescent highlights bounce from the glass against the deep, abyssal background of charcoal grey. With its ghostly quality, the print evokes the past, while speaking to the contemporary moment with innovative style."

"FRAMED - Rainbow Is My Favourite Colour By Louise McNaught"

"Lick New York By Prefab77"
"Art collective Prefab77 take contemporary street art to new heights - literally. Their urban artworks to-date include awe-inspiring paste-ups in Newcastle and Brighton, each spanning the size of a three-storey building. Their work relies on heavy texture, using collage techniques, thick application of gloss, and bounteous coatings of spray-paint, to create bold, busy and beautiful prints. If you thought you’d seen enough New York inspired prints to last you a lifetime, think again: Prefab77, have pushed the boundaries of artistic innovation one more, deconstructing the iconic city and reassembling it through their creative, collagist vision. A retro, sepia background of assembled print and pattern, type and text, provides the foundation, over which a huge, open mouth sits, with little NYC contained inside. But hang on a minute - what’s the Brooklyn Bridge doing in the centre of the city? Why is the Chrysler south of the Empire State? And how did the Flatiron get over there? A must-have for the NY aficionado - or for any keen eye for cutting-edge, collage aesthetics."

"Rich Enough to be Batman - Diamond White, Black and Gold By Heath Kane"
"Contemporary artist Heath Kane picks up where the Pop artists left off: forget everything you’ve seen before, Kane’s blend of the political and the satirical takes modern art in a new direction. This is portraiture for the twenty-first century; this is art that has something to say; this is art as it should be: nothing short of iconic. ‘Rich Enough to be Batman - Diamond White, Black and Gold’ repurposes the figurehead of the Queen as she appears on British postage stamps, her familiar portrait printed in charcoal grey against soft gold. Kane has glossed Her Majesty’s famous face with batman’s iconic cowl, dazzling in diamond white, for an uneasy juxtaposition that packs a punch."

"The Di-Gold Experience n. 394 Printers Proof By Marco Grassi"
"Italian artist Marco Grassi creates works of shimmering beauty. With his highly skilled, fine art approach, Grassi depicts the female form with realistic intensity, painting portraits that draw out a sense of humanity, rather than revelling in surface attraction. For ‘The Di-Gold Experience n.394 - Printer’s Proof’ Grassi experiments with abstraction, expressing feminine beauty though colour, tone and texture. Against a gold leaf background, Grassi has crafted the image of a woman, her head tilted back, hands running through her hair, as if captured in an intimate moment of showering. Using textured strokes of multicoloured pigment, Grassi abstracts his muse, allowing her to merge with the golden background, for a work of breathtaking beauty."

"Tea Time Heroes By Dirty Hans"
"Contemporary artist Dirty Hans cites Toulouse-Lautrec and Lichtenstein amongst his greatest influences: an unlikely pairing of art greats, the result is Dirty Hans’ own unique and striking aesthetic, by turns gritty and poppy, in artful measures. His work riffs off 1950s pop culture, from music to movies to magazines, updating Pop Art styles with an innovative combination of acrylic and spray-paint on canvas, merged with digital techniques. In fabulous, saturated technicolour, ‘Tea Time Heroes’ depicts the Mad Hatter’s tea party with the most unlikely of guests: in a room crowded with tables, well-loved film superheroes and villains are gathered together, surrounded by iconic memorabilia. Alice and Hatter have been replaced by the Joker and Harley Quinn, heading the gathering, which includes Batman and Cat Woman, Spiderman and Superman. Good meets bad, Marvel meets DC, fairytale meets superhero, in Dirty Hans’s wonderful world of the imaginary."

"With a roll-call of artistic influences - from Hitchcock to Shakespeare, Banksy to the Pre-Raphaelites - it’s no surprise that contemporary artist Copyright produces prints of such richness and diversity. A true ‘Urban Angel’, this beauty crosses from woman-as-muse into woman-as-canvas, with her heavily inked arm, showcasing classic tattoo creations, from the blossoming red rose to the Gothic human skull. His work riffs off 1950s pop culture, from music to movies to magazines, updating Pop Art styles with an innovative combination of acrylic and spray-paint on canvas, merged with digital techniques. ‘Audrey Hepburn Black’ depicts the iconic Hepburn, her arms and torso awash with delicate, floral tattoos. Urban Hepburn holds two fingers up in a peace sign, clutching her camisole top - a blue vest printed with the Unicef logo - as it slips suggestively from her shoulders. A brilliant merging of 1950s styles with contemporary aesthetics, ‘Audrey Hepburn Black’ is smart, sultry and stunning."

"Circus Alphabet White XL By Ben Eine"
"Originally a writer, Ben Eine is now one of London’s most prolific artists, specialising in typographical art. The archetype of contemporary UK street-art, Eine’s ‘21st Century City’ was famously gifted to Barack Obama by David Cameron in 2010, and can be seen daily on his canvas of choice: the walls and shutters of the streets of London. His work is a celebration of font and graphics - of the shapes, curves, colours and lines, and the beauty therein. ‘Circus Alphabet White XL’ presents all of the letters of the English alphabet, apart from the elusive and infamous letter ""W"". Eine’s signature font is beautifully decorative: contrasting, angular striated sections, bouncy curves in a harmonious mix of bright colours that seem to change and merge from different angles, due to the 3D technology of the lenticular printing process. Set against a paper-white background, ‘Circus Alphabet White XL’ is a striking celebration of humanity’s greatest tools: art and language. Only one left."
