"The Purpose of Life By Chloe Rox"
"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘The Purpose of Life’ depicts the iconic, young face of Kate Moss, as she peers up and away from the viewer. Using a range of digital and tactile techniques, Chloe has crafted a beautiful, jewelled tiara to sit upon the supermodel’s head and added a pair of delicate, blue-tipped butterfly wings to her back, to transform Moss into an ethereal, fairy-princess. The dazzling colours of wings and crown provide beautiful contrast against the monochrome photograph, while a mottled, sepia background adds an astonishing sense of texture and depth, for a simply stunning work of contemporary art."

"Life is Short By Chloe Rox"
"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘Life is Short’ depicts the striking portrait of a woman, her ice-white skin boldly highlighted with sections of sky-blue and neon-pink pigment, plastered across her poised hands, pouting lips, and closed eyelids. Butterflies hover around her extended fingers while, upon her head, Chloe has crafted an extravagant, silver tiara. For vibrant texture and an astonishing sense of depth, a collage of brightly coloured butterfly wings provides a beautiful backdrop, resulting in simply stunning work of contemporary art."

"Madonna By Chloe Rox"
"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘Madonna’ depicts the eponymous singer, decked out in provocative S&M attire: a Venetian mask sits across her eyes, a black collar around her neck, while a whistle perches between her red lips, its chain draped across her chest which the singer covers with her red-gloved hands, showing off her sharp, sexy painted nails. A distressed, American flag comprises the background, all awash with dulled metallic tones, graffiti scrawls, and blocks of text alluding to the star’s back catalogue, for a truly iconic work of contemporary art."

"How To Wear Fur By Chloe Rox"
"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘How to Wear Fur’ depicts the photograph of a naked woman, her face turned boldly towards the viewer as fluffy white kittens and bunny-rabbits cover her body. A fervent animal rights activist, Chloe’s print reminds us of the horror of the fur industry, and shows us that glamour and luxury need not come at the expense of soft, baby animals. The image of a large, glistening butterfly wing provides a mural behind the muse, creating dazzling texture and an astonishing sense of depth, for a truly iconic work of contemporary art."

"Loyalty By Chloe Rox"
"Contemporary artist Chloe works with a range of mixed media and digital approaches, combining strong, photographic elements with printed and painted embellishments for a fresh and innovative aesthetic. Her work considers the manipulation of the digital image, and every piece explores the possibility for an unexpected sense of dimensionality, transforming the flat, printed picture into a three dimensional illusion. ‘Loyalty’ is an exercise in the contemporary nude: an oil-slicked woman stands seductively, her arms draped across her body, her head tilted upwards to obscure her face. Behind the muse, Chloe has printed a Union Jack flag, which seems to crumble and decay at the edges - a statement on the demise of patriotism? An anarchic nod towards the repurposing of the country’s national emblem? Or simply the brilliant transposition of one of our most iconic cultural images for a truly striking work of contemporary art?"

"Marilyn Medusa By Trafford Parsons"
"Trafford Parsons’ extraordinary and long-spanning career has made its mark on the art world. Avowedly anti-establishment, Parsons work mines popular culture, from B movies to B sides, and brings an energetic street-art aesthetic to the familiar icons that haunt his work. ‘Marilyn Medusa’ takes Warhol's iconic screen print and merges it with one of the Ancient Greek’s most enduring myths: that of Medusa, that snake-headed gorgon. Gone are Marilyn’s gentle waves of golden locks, replaced with a vicious hive of slithering snakes, their open, fanged jaws thrust towards the viewer. A beautiful fusion of cultural iconography, ‘Marilyn Medusa’ is first and foremost an exercise in bold, visual impact, which Parson’s has achieved with brilliant and easeful artistry."

"Memento Mori 99 By Carl Moore"
"Digital artist Carl Moore produces an aesthetic like no other: revelling in the uncanny, Moore’s prints are an exercise in contemporary surreality, achieved to extraordinary success. Merging the playful with the tragic, the absurd with the endearing, Moore produces highly graphic images, bold in their colour and compositional technique. ‘Memento Mori ‘99’ is no exception: against a bright turquoise, star-studded, background, a classic ’99 ice cream dominates the frame, complete with melting drips, coursing down the cone. Yet, in true surreal fashion, Moore confounds our expectations: a closer look reveals not a deliciously whipped, frozen treat, but a human skull, its teeth biting over the edge of the cone, a flake protruding from its cranium, while a red splatter (strawberry sauce? or something a little more ominous…?) drips towards its sunken eye sockets. Certainly not your average ‘99 - and not your average screen print either: Moore’s work is brilliantly unique and devilishly spirited."

"BISOUS By Sara Pope"
"Sara Pope is a contemporary British artist, known for her seductive paintings of bold and beautiful lips. With a background in the world of haute couture fashion, and a day job as a high profile shoe designer, it’s no surprise that Pope’s prints are so saturated with style and glamour. Pink, pouty and perfect, Pope’s lip prints, with their high gloss sheen and signature drips of running paint, are nothing short of iconic. ‘BISOUS’ is a departure from Pope’s classic image, depicting not the lips themselves, but their tantalising trace, as puckered pigments crowd the print in shades of cherry red, auburn, hot-pink, and burnt-orange. Playful and provocative, ‘BISOUS’ is full of visual allure, beautifully musing on the nature of beauty and celebrity in contemporary culture. HURRY HURRY - ONLY ONE AP AND ONE PP LEFT IN STOCK"

"Boys of Summer By Richard Denne"
"Bright based artist Richard Denne describes himself not as a painter, but as an architect. Building his brightly coloured, and often geometrically sensitive artworks from a blend of traditional and digital techniques, paint and printmaking processes, merging the figurative with the abstract, Denne's sexually attuned pieces are truly unique and breathtakingly beautiful. ‘Boys of Summer’ uses a mash-up of patterns and colours, shapes and styles, to create a dreamy vista, where the titular boys bathe in crystal clear waters, surrounded by tall palm trees, and rolling green lawns. Cherry-red sits against grass-green and sky-blue for a bold palette with strong visual impact, capturing the hazy heat of a summer’s evening with stunning artistic clarity."

"Mad in England - Brexshit Special By Carrie Reichardt"
"Self-styled ‘craftivist’ Carrie Reichardt’s work intersects craft and activism, using mural, mosaic and screen-printing to forge a pioneering aesthetic. Inspired by the British tradition of subversive ceramics, her work is characteristically colourful, attuned to the tactile as much as the visual, incorporating text to convey a powerful message. ‘Mad in England - Brexshit Special’ depicts the image of a golden, gilt frame, containing a royal-red mosaic pattern, studded with eclectic imagery. Using white tiles for striking constant, Reichardt has created the image of the British crown with the words ‘Mad in England’ positioned underneath. Forget the jingoistic myth of ‘made in England’, Reichardt’s piece seems to say; the only thing that rhetoric has exposed is our own madness in the chaos of ‘Brexshit’. Here here!"

"Tesco Local - A2 By Lucy Bryant"
"Lucy Bryant is a contemporary artist and graphic designer, whose work is influenced by Pop art and the Punk music scene. Responding to contemporary culture, Bryant’s art subverts the everyday and the banal, always striving to disrupt the ordinary and create something entirely new. Her recent series appropriates the classic, antiquated landscape painting: steering away from the iconic work of the masters, Bryant favours the unloved and the unknown, those over-worked pastiches of a Turner or a Constable, that fill the tables of junk shops. Onto these, Bryant has added anachronistic motifs to create a jarring and unexpected end result. ‘Tesco Local’ depicts a sleepy 1800s village, complete with cobbled paths, cottages…oh, and a Tesco Local, a recent addition to solve all of those hard ships of country life like, ‘we’re almost out of quinoa!’ or, ‘have we bought The Guardian today?’."

"Journey in the Clouds No.8 By Chengxiang Shang"
"Shang Chengxiang is a contemporary fine artist, living and working in his home city of Shengyang, China. Chengxiang’s work draws on early surrealist movements, evoking the strange, unsettling imagery of Dali or Magritte, but brought up to date with incredible, high definition colour palettes, where billowing clouds of multicoloured pigment ooze across bizarre dreamscapes. ‘Journey in the Clouds No. 8’ depicts a rocky, lunar landscape, as a tiny spaceman, barley visible, steps weightless across the horizon. In the centre of the print, an explosion has gone off, as a gust of vapour spurts from the ground in Chengxiang’s characteristic cloud, laced with veinlike strands of bright colour, for brilliant juxtaposition against the otherwise monochrome landscape. ‘Journey in the Clouds No. 8’ is about pure, visual power: Chengxiang doesn’t ask his viewers to read his panting or to make logical conclusions, but to revel in the strangeness of the unconscious and creative mind. A large pair of plastic sunglasses and chic, cropped haircut can just be made out behind Smythe’s brilliantly textured surface, which seems to pulsate with warm counters of heat. Contained within a thick, white border, Smythe’s visually powerful print is a beautiful blend of 1960s Pop Art aesthetics and state of the art techniques."

"A Romance of Creation By Copyright"
"With a roll-call of artistic influences - from Hitchcock to Shakespeare, Banksy to the Pre-Raphaelites - it’s no surprise that contemporary artist Copyright produces prints of such richness and diversity. With a strong street-art aesthetic, Copyright employs stencils, spray-paint and brush strokes to achieve his culturally attuned works of art. Commenting on the flawed idealism and unattainable visions of beauty presented in fashion, music and popular culture, Copyright’s images of the female form look back to classicism and myth, producing highly stylised depictions of beautiful women, adorned with flowers, butterflies and angel wings, while maintaining a modern-day edge. ‘A Romance of Creation’ depicts the profile of a stylistically illustrated woman. Set against a floral purple background, Copyright has left the muse in black and white, adding colour only to her red, backless dress. To complete the print, Copyright has added delicate, colourful butterflies, to suggest themes of beauty, transience, and ephemerality."

"Oasis - Be Here Now By Michael Spencer Jones"
"Shot at Stocks Hotel in Hertfordshire, the former home of playboy magnate Victor Lownes, the cover of Be Here Now was Oasis and Michael Spencer Jones’ third album cover together following Definitely Maybe and What’s the Story Morning Glory?. The Rolls Royce submerged in a pool was guitarist Bonehead’s idea – as an homage to Keith Moon. It’s also a fitting focus to a portrait of a band known for their rock n roll antics and debauched lifestyles. Spencer James says much alcohol was consumed during the shoot and by evening time the shoot had become unmanageable, hence a day time shot being chosen in the end! Be Here Now is another slice of rock n roll history from Michael Spencer Jones and a must have print for Oasis fans, Nineties fans and lovers of iconic album covers."
