"Apple iPhone 8 64GB"
"iPhone 8 The iPhone 8 is no longer the leading flagship iPhone since the launch of the iPhone X but Apple fans are still flocking to stores to purchase iPhone 8 deals in droves. The iPhone X does come with some flashy new features, but the iPhone is now at the affordable end of the market and it is still one of the best smartphones available on the market. The only major difference between the iPhone 8 and iPhone X is a bigger screen and a lack of fingerprint scanner which has been replaced by the FaceID function. After that the difference are nearly negligible for a difference of nearly £300. iPhone 8 Build and Design At a glance the iPhone 8 is not that dissimilar to the earlier iPhone 7. It does have a larger bezel than the iPhone X but this does not detract the fact that the iPhone 8 is a very sleekly designed phone that still looks a market leading handset. It does lack the large5-inch plus screen we have come to expect of the latest handsets like the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Huawei P20 Pro but a 4.7-inch screen is still large enough to do anything required on a mobile phone device. Apple engineers have improved on the iPhone 7 in several subtle ways. Firstly, the antenna band has been blended better with the design. The major difference is shown when you turn the phone over. No longer will Apple use aluminium backed handsets the future is now glass. Glass backed phones often seem a worry to consumers but let is be honest, cases have been around for a while now so just wrap one around your iPhone 8! Apple have given us some nice colours to choose from, the iPhone 8 comes in Gold, Space Grey and Silver. iPhone 8 Main Features Apple have released the iPhone 8 in 256GB and 64GB, with the 64GB being the most popular handset. The camera has moved onto since the iPhone 7 with the iPhone 8 now boasting a 12MPfront camera. The camera is now faster due to the Apple designed image signal processor and a considerably improved flash which improved taking pictures in low lighting conditions. The iPhone comes with wireless charging capability and work with most of wireless charging devices that work with Qi. Wireless charging has been around fora while now, but Apple have confirmed this will be a permanent feature for all iPhones moving forward. The handset comes dust and water resistant (not water proof) and its has an improvedA11 Bionic processor which is also used in the iPhone X. The speed between flicking between emails, apps and game is very fast in comparison to the iPhone7. iPhone 8 Display and Audio The screen and display are not dissimilar to the iPhone 7 but there are a few additional features that stand out. The iPhone 8 comes with a new Retina HD display using TrueTone. The effect of this means the blue light is monitored and the phone matches what is required to give the handset a more natural looking feel. Blue light can affect health and sleep, so this is a major improvement that helps with a person is well being. You can really see the difference when you turn this off. Apple have made a video recording leap since the iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 now comes with 4K quality video recording capability in 24, 30 or 60 FPS. The iPhone 8 is stereo speakers have been improved drastically with the speakers now being 25percent louder than the iPhone 7. The offer better treble and the bass is on par with the Samsung Galaxy S9. The iPhone 8 runs on Apple is operating system iOS11 which is the same as the iPhone X. It supports FLAC audio files and all indications looked as though this was the future for Apple. However, the iPhone X now only supports WAV, so this may be being pulled back. Fonehouse is iPhone 8 Opinion The iPhone 8 is a very good upgrade from the iPhone7 with a better display, louder and better-quality audio and the price tag sits over £300 cheaper than the next generation iPhone X. It still looks sleek but in comparison to the iPhoneX is design it could now be considered out of date. Does all that design really make the iPhone X so much better than the iPhone 8, we do not think so. Most of the hardware apart from the camera is the same which means you are essentially paying for an aesthetic upgrade not a design and build upgrade. Fonehouse is iPhone 8 Deals and Offers We offer multiple iPhone 8 Deals covering a range of networks.
"Apple iPhone X 64GB"
"Apple iPhone X The long-awaited iPhone X has landed after 11 generations of the iconic Apple iPhone. Unlike the muted reception of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus which did not really deviate from the iPhone 7 the iPhone X is a pleasure the use. Its changed Apples game with a faster, slicker looking handset but the big change……. No more home button. Build and Design The iPhone X is slightly larger than the iPhone 8 but the removal of the screen Bezel allows room for a seamless 5.8-inch screen which is much larger than the iPhone 8 is 4.7-inch display. This larger screen stretches completely across the front of the iPhone X which means there is no longer any room for the TouchID finger print scanner. The unlocking feature has been replaced by the TrueDepth camera system which uses facial recognition to unlock the handset. The IR cameras used for facial recognition are at the top of the phone staying out of the way of the main display screen. Simply put, the iPhone X is two panels of Gorilla Glass 5 held together with a stainless-steel frame. Gorilla Glass 5 is one of the most durable glass made today. Whilst Apple state that the glass is the strongest found on any smartphone its highly recommendable to purchase an iPhone X case to protect against cracking when dropped. iPhone X Hands on Review Its really has moved on from the iPhone 8, the Gorilla Glass does add a bit of bulk to the handset and its not perfectly flush with the frame. It is a lot more compact than the iPhone 8, which makes using the iPhone X easier with one hand. Visually its more pleasing to the eye than the iPhone 8 even though the changes have been minor. We did a test on the IP67 waterproofing. Its fine for a quick drop in the sink and can easily handle up to 30 minutes under water as long as you do not go below the prescribed 1m depth. Unlike other Apple handsets the only colours available are Silver and Space Grey. The Silver handset really does stand out compared to the Space Grey. iPhone X Display Quality Apple have really gone to town on the iPhone X display however, Apple fanatics might not be so keen with the notch at the top of the handset. This is Apple is first time using an OLED display instead off their usual LCD display. This has had a huge affect when view darker colours whilst watching videos. The iPhone X has taken a huge step and the blacks and show colours really pop out of the screen. Watching videos, conferencing and Facetime is a lot better. The outlines are very crisp and clear, and textures are clearer than they have ever been on an Apple handset. Apple have worked on balancing the colours using restrained balancing technology. This gives the overly sharp colours a better look in comparison to other handsets that currently use OLED. The quality of the pictures is still amazing with pictures and videos appearing very natural in colour. The screen brightness is very good for an OLED display, this helps when reading the phone from an angle. There is nearly no glare from bright lights or in direct sunlight. Apple have also ported over some technology from the iPad Pro. Launching the iPhone X with TrueTone adaptive colour temperature system. This technology strips the blue light out of the display helping warm up the natural colours. The camera notch at the top of the handset does push into the screen which actually gives the user less user space than the iPhone 8 iPhone X Sound Quality The iPhone is often seen as the phone to beat when competing on audio quality. This has not really changed with the iPhone X. Once again Apple have decided to lose the 3.5mm headphone port which caused a stir with the iPhone 8. Not everyone is pleased with the bundle adapter but the quality of sound over Bluetooth is very good and more than makes up for the lack of the headphone Jack. Apple have still no offered official hi-res support sound support within it iTunes platform, opting to stay with WAV for sound purposes. The sound quality of the Bass is very clear and detailed. The Treble is kept in balance while perfectly executing overlapping instruments which other smartphones often struggle with. Apple have worked wonders with the quality of the sound on the iPhone X. The stereo speakers are by far louder than any iPhone to date with only Huawei and Sony really competing on the sound front. iPhone X Main Features The camera has had a few good upgrades which makes the iPhone X standout of the smartphone crowd. The dual lens camera now includes optical image stabilisation on both lenses instead of just the main camera. Apple have also improved the sensors using deeper and larger pixels which allows the iPhone X to complete with the new Huawei P20 Pro when comparing low light photography. There is a great upgrade to the telephoto lens which means you can get closer to your chosen shot without losing the quality of the detail on the photo. Its focuses quicker than the iPhone 8 which helps get great moving shots. Apple have now ensured the HDR mode is constantly on, this means the iPhone X does an amazing job in harsh lighting conditions. As with last iPhone models. The iPhone X shows colours which are highly vivid which are not always showing the true to life imagery as seen by the naked eye. Adding In the new Portrait lighting model uses both lenses to help capture the contours of faces. Its uses it digital software to portray each photo as if it was taken with a high-quality studio lamp behind the phone always. As with the launch of any new iPhone, the iPhone X comes with Apple is latest operating system. The iPhone X uses Apple is latest iOS 11. This is now dragged down from the top right of the screen. You now must swipe up to close all your apps and the big addition or therefore lack off is there is now no home button at the bottom of the handset. The removal of the home button has been replaced by the FaceID application. To activate Apple pay you now must double tap. To activate SIRI you now hold down the side button. Whilst other smartphones and Tablets have failed when using FaceID Apple have done a great job. It uses Apple is infrared system which occasionally get caught out if it is a sunny day or you have a bright light behind you. It stands to reason that the FaceID system does not work if you cover any part of your face which for some reason has caused minimal complaints from Apple users. There is a fair bit of fun to be had when using the new technology. This is courtesy of Animojis, Animoji is are animated emoticos which followed the pattern of your speech and facial expressions and movements. iPhone X Performance Apple has opted to use the same A11 Bionic chip that was used in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. This means the X has a lot of performance without the lag. The hardware on the iPhone X makes the performance using the A11 Bionic chip fast and efficient. iOS 11 runs extremely quickly especially when managing multiple apps, work documents and games at once. The iPhone X is slightly smaller in size to the iPhone 8 but the engineers at Apple at have packed in more hardware without making the iPhone X a bulky handset. They even managed to get in a bigger more improved battery which can easily last an entire day if you are not playing games or using battery zapping apps all day long. Apple have followed suit and brought fast charging to the forefront of their technology. However, this luxury will cost the Apple user £75 extra for the USB-C power adapter and the lighting cable. Apple have also introduced wireless charging as per other leading handsets. One surprise here is you do not have to just buy Apple is version. The iPhone X is compatible with Qi charging as standard which means there is a world of wireless charging technology available at a range of prices. Fonehouse is iPhone X Opinion The iPhone X is a huge jump in technology and it has moved away from many iPhone traditions. Losing the home button is a bold move and the notch at the top has been received tentatively by Apple fanatics. The display an audio has moved on along way since the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus but there are other smartphones hitting the market that can now complete with their technology. Losing the fingerprint scanner was a bold move and FaceID is a great replacement. The speed of the iPhone X is a noteworthy mention and the camera, or should we say camera is have moved on a long way too. The battery life is better and the wireless and fast charging capabilities give it an edge on other smartphones.
