The standard hardware for the dog leash clip handle is a metal bolt snap, however we offer trigger snaps, beefy snaps, and the panic snap (see options above). This lead is 6" inside diameter, and over all length is 11" from top of handle to end of hardware (*note this is for the bolt snap and other hardware will have a different overall length). | Ratchet Strap made with 1 inch Polyester Seatbelt Webbing. Polyester Seatbelt webbing 1 inch has a breaking strength of 3000 pounds with a thickness of 0.050 of an inch.Ratchet straps are most often used for securing loads to trailers, rooftop carriers, etc. The ratchet buckle allows you to tighten the strap with ease. A quick release mechanism means you don't have to worry about releasing tension when you want. The 1 inch ratchet straps are actually very heavy duty. With this strap, you are ordering the ratchet strap made of 1 inch polyester seatbelt webbing. The polyester seatbelt webbing has high abrasion resistance that works well for the above applications. A strap is only as strong as its weakest link. The safe working load is one-third the breaking strength For example, Strapworks polyester webbing 1 inch has a breaking strength of 3000 pounds, so a safe working load is 1000 pounds. You also need to consider your hardware and stitching. The 1 inch Ratchet Buckle is not rated. You also need to calculate your safe working load for your buckles and your stitching. When in doubt, buy 1 strap and test it for your application. Ratchet buckle options include: 1 inch coated black, 1 inch black padded, 1 inch red padded heavy duty, and 1 inch stainless steel with or without buckle pad sewn on the strap. Your choice of end hardware includes: Coated S-Hooks, Coated Safety S-Hooks, Wire Hooks, O-Rings, Metal Beefy Snaps, Coated Flat Hooks (Rounded), Coated Flat Hooks (Squared), Stainless Steel Flat Hooks, Stainless Steel Wire Hooks. Please keep in mind the characteristics of the different types of webbing when ordering straps. Ratchet Straps made with polyester seatbelt webbing The 1 inch Seatbelt weave webbing is lighter in weight than the regular polyester, but close in strength. Low stretch, low absorption rate, non-porous fiber, and high strength makes this an excellent choice for outdoor uses as well! Ratchet Straps made with patterned polyester webbing are perfect for heavy loads with high abrasion. Polyester has the best attributes of flat nylon (abrasion resistance) and heavyweight polypropylene (UV protection, water resistance). Strapworks "Patterned Polyester" is polyester that has been sublimated. Sublimation is a process that virtually tattoos the ink into the webbing by turning a solid ink into a permeating gas. This process is done in house and it allows for great detail and vivid custom colorfast colors. Polyester is the only material we carry that is consistent in its ability to be sublimated. Ratchet Straps made with polyester webbing has the same attributes and characteristics as patterned polyester. Strapworks' polyester webbing is also sublimated, but is sublimated in solid colors. Polyester has all of the benefits of Flat Nylon, high breaking strength, high abrasion resistance, soft, smooth, and shiny. It also has the benefits of polypropylene, low water absorption, high UV protection, and it is also mildew and rot resistant. Ratchet straps made with flat nylon webbing is the webbing of choice for high abrasion applications. It is not recommended for use in or around water continuously because it is less water resistant, making it susceptible to mildew and rot. Ratchet Straps made with heavyweight polypropylene webbing are suitable for medium duty outdoor applications. Heavyweight polypropylene webbing has excellent UV protect and does not absorb water quickly giving it better better resistant to mildew and rot resistance. However, polypropylene does not have good abrasion resistance, so it is not recommended for use against rough edges. The sublimation process may take an extra 2-3 days to fulfill your order.
