| CO2 Plastic Barrel Spigot The Harry Mason CO2 Plastic Barrel Spigot is the best way of applying a blanket pressure. However it must be noted that this should only be used on a lay down barrel. The huge advantage of using a CO2 Plastic Barrel Spigot is that it can maximise the longevity of of your beer. It ensures that the yeast doesn't react in the same way with CO2 as oxygen. ?CO2 extends the life of the yeast. The CO2 Plastic Barrel Spigot is manufactured from FDA approved food grade and high impact resistant material. How it works The CO2 Barrel Spigot contains a?Non Return Valve?(duck bill). ?This is also used in the Cask Breather (Auto Ventilator). ?The?Non Return Valve?allows CO2 to enter the cask and consequently prevents any gases ?from leaving. There are a few other products that you will need to apply a blanket pressure on your ale in your cask. The double outlet allows you to dispense to multiple dispense units such as the Aston and Shakespeare hand pulls.?The Double?Outlet 3/4 BSP is the most common thread within the United Kingdom. The Double?Outlet comes with a?3/4 BSP Hop Filter.?When the filter is fitted in place it creates an airtight?join between the hose tail and the outlet. Acting as a washer or seal. ?The Hop Filter is made from 316 Stainless Steel Mesh. ?It is formed into a dome shape and moulded with rubber material around the edge. The Hop Filter sits on the hose tail and as a result helps to prevent residue from being dispensed into the glass. The Flexible Ale Extractor Double Outlet 3/4 BSP has a wing burr attached to the outlet. This?screws on to the?ale extractor body?once it has been tapped into the barrel. Also an M14 nut is located underneath the wing burr. This has a?washer?in place which consequently creates an air tight seal against the ale extractor body. The wing burr allows you to screw down the outlet securely. This then ensures an air tight seal between the body and the washer. *Flexible Ale Extractor The?Flexible Ale Extractor?kit contains a?Non Return Valve?(or Duck Bill). ?As a result this helps to control the flow of the beer by preventing it from travelling back down the line. | The Flexible Ale Extractor body has numerous different names such as a Broach and a Shank. Harry Mason Ltd recommend when buying a Rigid or Flexible Ale extractor that you purchase at least one extra Ale Extractor Body.?This will give you the flexibility to tap the next barrel in advance. This will allow plenty of time to settle whilst you continue to dispense fromthe current barrel. ?87% of pubs in the UK sell around 144 pints of ale per week. This equates to 2 firkins (9 gallon) casks per week. For every barrel you should have an ale extractor body. Vertical dispensing reduces the amount of cellar space required. This is compared to to the traditional lay down method. In theory you can store two vertical firkins in the same of one in the lay down position. The Flexible Ale Extractor Body comes with a Blanking Plug (sometimes known as Blanking Nut). This saves damaging the thread when venting and tapping the cask. We recommend always using a rubber mallet when venting and tapping the barrel. ?This prevent any damage to the extractor bodies. The ale extractor has the ability to vent the condition of the barrel also as well as tapping the barrel. On the Shank on the Flexible Ale Extractor Body there is a line going round the part that goes into the keystone, the indication line is how far you drive into the keystone. We calculated the correct distance the body needs to go through the keystone. The keystone today is normally made out of rubber material which means when the body goes through the keystone it doesn't break off, it creates a 'flap' which can hinder the performance of the flexible and rigid ale extractors. The Flexible Ale Extractor is arguably the easiest way of drawing your ale from the cask because it requires the least amount of maintenance. ?Most of all it is imperative that you look after your equipment. ?The?Flexible Ale Extractor Cleaning Kit?contains all the necessary brushes and components to keep your Flexible Ale Extractor clean and hygienic. What's included The Flexible Ale Extractor Cleaning Kit contains: Non Return Valve Key ?(needed to remove the Non Return Valve) A Silicon Tube Brush Flexible Ale Extractor Body Brush Mini Ball Valve and Tail Brush The Non Return Valve Key gives the ability to fit and remove the Non Return Valve. This helps to prevent any beer flowing back down the beer line from the pump. This is usually used on long distances from the barrel to the beer pump. Especially relevant is the long brush. This has been designed to go through the whole length of the silicon tube. The brush itself is approximately 75 cm long. ?This is the same length as a?Kilderkin tube. ?Especially relevant is the positioning of the bristles. ?They are positioned in the center of the brush. As a result you can operate from either end. ?The bristles are the same size as the internal size of the silicon tube. ?As a result this?makes sure that all the residue within the silicon tube is easily removed. In addition the handle helps to push the brush through the tube. The Silicon Tube Brush is designed to go through the body. ?Consequently ensuring that any dried on beer on the inside of body is completely removed. Finally there is a mini ball valve brush. ?This brush is small enough to fit down the tail of the mini ball valve and as a result willl remove any dried on impurities.

| Description The Flexible Ale Extractor Float has been designed and manufactured to float on the surface of the beer. It floats at a 45 degree angle with the inlet of the float sitting just below. The Inlet of the Flexible Ale Extractor Float has 24 holes. All these holes are 2mm diameter. This will sufficiently fill the silicon tube without any chance of starving the line. Starvation can affect the performance of your dispense equipment. About The holes on the Flexible Ale Extractor Float were initially designed to be suitable for Marston's FastCask. This is a new initiative that has living yeast within the beer itself in small bead form. They do not dissolve in the beer but they do allow the beer to flow through them as a second fermentation process. The 2mm holes have been designed especially for ready rack beers. As this enables the beer to settle quicker, you can start dispensing the beer soon after tapping the barrel. Please speak to your relevant brewery for advise on the recommended time you should leave your cask to settle. The Flexible Ale Extractor float is made from a food grade material. ?This is essential as the float comes into contact with the beer. Please make sure that you have correctly vented and tapped your Ale Extractor Body?into your cask correctly. There is an indication line on the shank of the body to indicate how far you need to drive the body through the keystone. Keystones today are general made of a rubber material unlike the traditional wooden ones.?When you tapped your barrel, the wooden keystone middle would have been clearly knocked out of the way. ?Compared to the newer rubber keystone which can ?create a flap if you don't drive the body deep enough in. ?This can catch on the float when being extracted from the cask.
